This review is from: Dear Lord, I Feel Like a Whale!: Knowing God's Touch Throughout Your Pregnancy-and Beyond (Paperback)
DEAR LORD, I FEEL LIKE A WHALE is written for those moms-to-be in both the early months and those at the "it's due any moment now" period. Ms. Bullivant addresses everything from conception to life after the birth. She tackles such issues such as:Praying for your unborn child Coping with hormone swings Keeping in touch with your partner Dealing with the fear of childbirth or miscarriage Maintaining your self-respect Managing your priorities --as well as much more. As the mom of three, Ms. Bullivant has proven herself knowledgeable in these areas. When reading the book, some of the British turns of phrase were rather confusing to me as an American. I also wish I would have actually picked up this book to read when I was pregnant instead of now when my baby is six months old. Ms. Bullivant shares stories from her own pregnancy as well as other women's experiences and ties it all in with Scripture references. Pick up DEAR LORD, I FEEL LIKE AWHALE for your favorite pregnant woman today. She'll be sure to appreciate it. $12.95. 191 pages.

Just what I needed. :),

This book is exactly what i needed. I'm about 1/2 way through it now and have really enjoyed it. It has comforted me on many levels that a surfaced daily devotional could not. The book is written by an every day, down to earth, perhaps a bit random and dramatic woman. She quotes statistics and scripture occasionally throughout the book and does a great job of making me feel like it's ok to feel the way I feel.
