It seems like Remixx dropped their album "Dear Lord" at a perfect time within American history. Gospel and Christian music if often overlooked, but after the tragedy of September 11, 2001, many people have began to mix Church and State--prayer and politics. Sometimes it is nice to listen to something without constant cursing, complaining, and negative attention toward women. In Remixx's album, "Dear Lord," there are many tracks which are uplifting and positive, though they do not lack realism. 'Seven Times a Lady,' about their mother, is lyrically deep, containing discussion about their upbringing and the love they have for their mother. It's a beauitful and motivating track. Also, my favorite track, 'Dear Lord,' is underlined by a smooth, r&b beat with gospel lyrics and prayer. Even people who are not Christian or devoutly religious can relate to this material at this time. Two of my favorite r&b groups are Jagged Edge and Dru Hill, and I think that this album is well worth buying. Also, don't forget that Sisqo from Dru Hill started out in church choir, being discovered by a girlfriend who was turned on by his voice! Many of the greatest r&b singers have gospel influence so support a group who deserves the attention!

I haven't heard music that really touched me in a while . The song "7 times a lady really gave me a deeper appreciation for my mother and the things that she's done for me ....... and the hip hop trcks are so tight ......their voices are real ........ i saw them in concert at the voodoo club .......they were so energetic and yet reached the crowd ........ not to mention their sex-appeal !

This album is brilliant. I bought this CD after hearing part of a song on the radio. I cannot say enough about it, the whole CD is Great! I am so glad that God sent us some inspirational singers. If you like gospel with a R&B edge yet meaningful lyrics then you will love this. Go ahead and order. You won't reget it!

Remixx is a great group with beautiful voices and personalities. I know one of the members, Tim, and I know that he dedicates nearly all of his time to shows, studio recordings, and practicing his music. I am really happy to see a few reviews on here, but I think there should be more. Once they release their album on October 16th, I think there will be more support and fans. There isn't that many groups these days that have soul, desire, and down to earth personalities. If you want to support a group who is beautiful inside and out...buy the Remixx cd on October 16th so that their first week sales allow them to be recognized nationally.
I love you Tim!

I heard these two brothers perform in Chicago a while ago , they blew my socks off , and I've been wondering when I'd be able to see something from them . They were in a bad situation when I met them , so it seemed like their creativity was thwarted , but I'm so glad they're still doin their thing , and they have a major label behind them now. I know they have a lot to offer the music industry in so many aspects !
I heard they recorded tis album like 3 or 4 years ago! Man ! I can't wait to hear new material .... T-Jay and Drew you are a wonderful duo with beautiful personalityies keep it up and stay focused !
