Editorial Reviews

Review

This book is set up to allow individuals to quickly come up with an answer to their party quandaries, whether it be the parent wondering what is age-appropriate or how much individuals should spend on birthday presents. The writing style is simplistic and has a number of ideas put forth in a list form, so that individuals can rapidly evaluate how each idea fits in their own unique situation. --Neufutur.com

This review is from: Dear Peppers and Pollywogs...: What Parents Want to Know About Planning Their Kids' Parties (Dear Peppers and Pollywogs...) (Paperback)
The book is well organized, and answers questions for which answers are hard to find - like how many people to have over for a first birthday party (answer - party is really for the parents, the child usually sleeps through most of it) or tricky questions like "do I invite my son's teacher to the birthday party - he really wants to."

Updates and more party planning questions are also answered on her website at [...]

5.0 out of 5 stars Bravo!! Buy this book now!, October 7, 2008
This review is from: Dear Peppers and Pollywogs...: What Parents Want to Know About Planning Their Kids' Parties (Dear Peppers and Pollywogs...) (Paperback)
Bravo! This book is EXCELLENT! A must read for anyone, not just a parent planning a party! Not only is "Dear Peppers & Pollywogs..." a great party guide, it deals with every situation! In addition to everything you need to know about throwing a great party, this book includes proper etiquette from thank you cards, e-invitations, to that not so friendly relative, to sticky situations with invites.

This book is cleverly put together in an easy to read question and answer format. I didn't put the book down until I was finished!! ( which says alot for a gal who is easliy distracted!) The only comment I have is that I would change the title from "what every parent wants to know...to "What every parent NEEDS to know..!
