They were roomy which was good for me
on October 18, 2015
I've worn the old standard, slick-soled Dearfoam corduroy slippers for years and they were okay. They were roomy which was
good for me, since I have to wear arch support inserts in them. The smooth soles, however, were slippery on my wooden floor.
(In fact, caused me to damage the meniscus in both my knees due to a fall.) Another problem was the heels had a tendency
lose their shape and flatten out away from my foot. I looked at a couple of hundred cord slippers and read more than 200 reviews,
trying to find a better replacement. THESE slippers are the best I found. The NON-SKID soles are really great and lend support
to the shoe. The design with supportive colored twine (or rope?) around the upper part of slipper heel & sides gives this shoe a
more stable shape than the the old Dearfoams; thus a better, snugger fit. Since I have to put inserts in my slippers. my feet have
a more shallow "grip," the shoe doesn't fit as well as without the insert. Even so, though they're not perfect for me, I'm really
satisfied with them and recommend them.
