5.0 out of 5 stars You'll be glad you bought these!, May 3, 2005

This review is from: Dearfoams Women's Microfiber Terry Closed-Toe Scuff Slipper (Apparel)
I've worn the Dearfoams brand of houseshoes for years. They've always been attractive and comfortable. I bought this pair in pink, and they're even more comfortable than the booties I normally buy.

The microfiber terry is so soft, it's better than being barefoot. The cushioning is deep and the outersole is flexible, yet sturdy. I thought the v-shaped notch was a gimmick, but once I tried the shoes on I realized it made them a lot more comfortable than any other slippers I've worn in the past. I have a high arch, and the slipper doesn't squeeze the top of my foot.

I normally wear a size 8 (sometimes 7 1/2) and the large size fits me fine. It's not too loose and I'm not tripping in them, as I have with other brands of houseshoes. However, they do seem to have enough length for someone who is a size 9. I haven't washed these yet, but they are machine washable. I've always machine washed and dried my other Dearfoams, and never had a problem with them shrinking or fading.

Although Dearfoams are made in China now, the only difference I think I've noticed is that the foam cushioning doesn't hold up as well as it used to. It starts out close to an inch thick and pancakes down pretty quickly as you wear them. At least that's been that way in the booties - these slippers feel sturdier.

For less than 12 bucks you can't go wrong with these. I like to be comfortable, so I plan on buying an extra pair or two in case these get discontinued. For this price, I might even start my Christmas shopping in May!

I borrowed a pair of these from my sister(who has several pairs in different colors), they felt so good I took them home, I've had them over a year and they are still in great shape, I now want a pink pair! Good deal and fits nice on your feet.

I purchased these slippers and a robe last year to take on a vacation. The robe didn't last long, (CHEAP,CHEAP,CHEAP!), but the slippers are still here. I have really cold feet and wear slippers all year long, and these are more or less my "warmer weather" slippers. I have washed them several times, and they wash up beautifully. No wear or tear, and the traction is still good.

These were a Christmas present for my wife. She's been wearing them for a week now and says they are very comfortable and cozy. It's too soon to comment on durability.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soft, comfortable and great for padding around the house., September 24, 2008

I'm on my second pair of this slipper. I work from home so i wear them most of the day and they are loose enough to feel comfy and tight enough to stay on my feet while i run up and down the stairs. The sole also holds up great and doesn't damage my hardwood floors as i slide around on them but is alright to slip out real quick to take out the trash.

They are a bit pricey...i found my latest pair at TJ Maxx for about $20.

I love these slippers, and I usually don't wear slippers. In fact these were so comfy, I bought two pairs--love them both.
