The first time I heard this, I swore it had to be some well-known star that I hadn't been introduced to. I was still getting into Christian music. I even thought this might have been from more of a seasoned soul artist. I was surprised to find how young Jimmy is, not to mention a bit of a rocker. Although I was NOT as surprised to find out what kind of recognition he has with Christian youth.

Anyway, this song just reminds me every time of how much salvation was worth everything I went through to get to that point in my life. Losing my sin, meeting my maker (as the song alludes to) has been worth everything I've had to give up. People don't understand the Christian faith much because it's highly misrepresented, but this song gives me hope of reaching others still.

The first chorus also reminds us how easily things hurt us in the world, and how unreliable the world can be. From "arrows" that are "sure pierce the skin", to "water from a broken well" making us thirst, it's a different, yet graphic way of painting some of the same imagery Christ used to get his message across.

On top of that, the instrumenal accompaniment sents the mood from the first few notes, and communicates just how deep the song is about to get into the heart of whoever is listening - believer or not.

This young man certainly has much future potential, given his way with words throughout the whole album.
