Editorial Reviews

Demon Hunter Death, A Destination is a 3-CD set including every song from the band's first three albums: Demon Hunter (2002), Summer of Darkness (2004), The Triptych (2005). This new anthology will be a great addition for fans that may not have all of Demon Hunter's best-selling catalog as well as a great way for new fans to discover and get all three catalog albums for one great price.

this album is awesome. you get 3 albums for the price of about 1.5 albums and the music is great. It is Demon Hunter's first 3 albums, which are all incredible musically and lyrically. A good mixture of some softer clean vocals songs with heavier stuff.

Demon Hunter has been one of my favorite artists for the past year, and when I heard this deal I had to get it. I had only the bands three most recent albums and I was looking to get their first two when the opportunity came along. I purchased this and the rest is history. Three albums for fifteen dollars compared to the ten dollars you would spend a piece on them. The only downside I have, and its really just a nitpick, is that the original disc art isn't on the cds and no lyrics sheet for the die yards. Other than that, perfect item.

It offers their first 3 albums for a great price. Demon Hunter is my favorite band so this is a great collection to me. If you like Demon Hunter but don't own their first 3 albums well here you go, this is what you need.

I started my experience with this band a year ago with "True Defiance" I thought Demon Hunter was a phenomenal band (as they are). Death: A Destination encloses their first 3 albums. So here is a brief review of each.

1) Demon Hunter: A great debut. A lot of energy and intensity. Gang vocal shouts add to the attitude these guys have. Quite possibly one of my favorite albums to lift to. Favorite tracks: "Screams Of The Undead, I Have Seen Where It Grows, My Throat Is An Open Grave, Through The Black" they all have a heavy groove metal influence to them. The guys mix chaos and melody perfectly with the backup singers and lead vocals.

2) Summer Of Darkness: Lead vocals take a more brutal approach. Still mixing more melody into their music. Some intense tracks here and there. Still a solid release and still proves these guys are better than 99% of what you hear on the radio. Favorite tracks: "Beheaded, Less Than Nothing, Summer Of Darkness, I Play Dead"

3) The Triptych: This is the band we all love and know. This influenced the other albums after. In my opinion, its their weakest offering. But it does have some killer tracks "Undying, The Soldier's Song, One Thousand Apologies, and the cover of Prong's Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" is good as well.

Overall, I could have gone into a lot more detail. But this is a great compilation of Demon Hunter's first three albums. Personally, I think The World Is A Thorn is their best (it isn't on here for those who don't know) but price wise, this is a great bargain and its full of headbangable tracks regardless of your religion. God bless these guys.

Double cd of first two albums. If you like Demon Hunter as much as I do it's a great deal.
