Austin Rocks,

From the newest addition from Mammoth records comes a band called "Schiatzi". The name deriving from thier grandmothers dog, Schiatzi delivers a Superdragish feel from the first Xylophone rings on the self titled track to the melodic accoustic track "by the silvery moon". Schiatzi will leave your mouth watering for more from thier new EP "Death of a Alphabet".

Great EP,

This is a great EP from a great austin band. Thier songs have matured a lot since their last album Joanie Loves Schatzi. It's no Hidden Speaker, (austin's own impossibly genius band), but it's good enough to get a five star rating. Looking forward to the full length. Although, if you really want to hear the genius of Austin, you should buy the Hidden Speaker album. Aside from that, this is easily the best austin album so foar this year.

i got a promo of this for the school paper i write for, and i fell in love with it from the start -- about a month or so later, these boys came to my hometown and rocked the socks off everyone there -- great attitude about everything, they don't get up on a high horse and say stuff like "oh, we're big rock stars now 'cuz we're on a Playstation 2 game!" they are the most down-to-earth band I've met -- and I interviewed them after their set ... very very cool people.... great sense of humor, great rock sensibilities, great everything, including this EP... and Adrianne from The Anniversary sings backup on the title track!A+ effort
