About the Author

Labelled Mr Network by The Sun, The Financial Times called Andy Lopata one of Europe's leading business networking strategists. The co-author of two books on networking, Andy is a regular columnist for the US magazine The National Networker, as well as being quoted in national press, including The Sunday Times and The Guardian. Andy's third book is being published by FT Prentice Hall in September 2011. For eight years, Andy was Managing Director of Business Referral Exchange, one of the UK's leading referral-focused network-ing organisations. Andy is a former vice-president of the Professional Speakers Association. www.lopata.co.uk A Fellow and Past President of the Professional Speaking Association, Peter is claimed by many to be the UK's leading expert in Natural Presentation. He has presented to well over 400,000 people internationally and for a wealth of different organisations. Peter specialises in working with both individuals and organisa-tions to enhance and enrich business development skills. Peter had a very successful corporate career with organisations such as Lombard North Central and Arval PHH. After being awarded Sales Executive of the year for a consecutive 6 years he went on to become the youngest ever Divisional Director of PHH reporting to the European Board. Peter created a strategic Division with a turnover in excess of GBP38 Million, employing over 200 people and winning numerous national awards. I was looking forward to receiving this book and wasn't disappointed when it finally turned up - in fact its been difficult to put down and get on with my work! The book is well laid out with a natural flow and each tip and suggestion is backed up by interesting and varied stories to illustrate networking do's and don'ts in action. With business advice books you often find you read through them and forget the tips by the time the next situation comes up for you to apply them - with this book there are powerful and practical strategies in bite size pieces which are easy to absorb and bring instant results (I tried the 'asking the right questions' tip...). For anyone who needs inspiration to make the most of the multitute of networking opportunities out there.

The first thing that ...and Death Came Third gave me was the reassurance that the majority of people all go through the same reservations and fears when making a start in the world of Networking and Speaking in Public and secondly, the realisation that we're not all necessarily `born to it'.

Being relatively new to the world of Network Marketing it has given me a brilliant start, there is definitely something for everyone and I'm sure it would be realistic to say that some ideas we will use and some we won't - given our own unique personality styles.

In a relatively short space of time I have become more confident at both Networking and Public Speaking and put this down largely to the many tips and suggestions given in the book, and then obviously getting out there and practising them.

The anecdotes are excellent and I feel that Andy and Peter between them both, have certainly captured and in turn given to us readers, the basic recipe for successful Networking. It's definitely one of my many books that will be read over and over.....
