I have enjoyed Michael Gilbert for years and was delighted to learn that one of his best was waitng for me to read-furthermore that it was based on his actual WWII experience. I was not disappointed.I added to the pleasure of reading this book by trying to follow the route on a map. Such good characters and description of remote areas of Italy. |
