Book Description

After 7 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit, Kellen Malone rode into Redhawk... and death rode with him!

While Kellen rotted away in prison, Clay Adkins had stolen his wife, his son and his ranch. But now that Kellen was free, he was coming back for overdue justice ... with a vengeance!

So when Kellen Malone rode into town, Clay Adkins was concerned, but when he saw Skull Clements riding with him as a friend, Clay knew he was in trouble and that death indeed had come to Redhawk!

If your heart cries out for justice, action, and unparalleled adventure, then “Death Comes to Redhawk” is a must-read for you!

Kellen Malone was fast, but not nearly as fast as some of those he’d buried. His new friend, Skull Clements, killed for money, while Kellen killed only on principle. Kellen killed those who needed it, those who cried out for the dying. And in Kellen’s mind, no one needed killing more than Clay Adkins!

5.0 out of 5 stars Westerns are not gone, this one is great. November 24, 2010
The reading season is here and I wish I had more of Yoho's books to get me through the winter! I had to wait a couple of days after I received the book before I had time to get into it; it's a good thing I waited because I didn't have time for anything else once I started it.
This plot has more twists than a Kentucky back-road! The author starts you out rather "normal" for a western, then starts moving your attention from one individual to another in a manner that keeps you wondering who is going to end up being what!
One of the complaints I have of the modern day western is that the plots are almost all generic - not this one; it has a REAL plot. My Stetson is off to Yoho for this one, I only hope he isn't done writing!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rollicking Good Time In Redhawk March 14, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This book is the awesome Western that I grew up with. There are Indians, Cowboys, Cattle, Gunfighters and anything else that creates a great read. I am in love with the hero who takes no prisoners but loves a good dog. I want a dog like Lobo, a man like Malone, a kid like Jesse and a town like Redhawk. This is a fine read for any Western lover.

5.0 out of 5 stars A joy to read January 26, 2011
"Death Comes to Redhawk" is the first book in the Kellen Malone adventure series. In this book, like the second, Yoho crafts a thrilling Western like those many of us grew up with. The colorful characters and the vivid settings add to a fast paced and well crafted story.

Great characters and easy to pick a hero and a goat. But, not so fast...enjoy the smells of the old west. Learn some more wild west skills. When the darkness and smoke clears, heartache may suprise you.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Worth My Time
I didn't get very far in this book. I just stopped reading. The commentary carried on between the good buy and one of the bad guys was a little juvenile.

4.0 out of 5 stars A little to modern language for the era depicted.
Trite modern sayings that just did not ring true to the era he was writing about. It was somewhat distracting to me. Overall the story was good.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good old fashioned Western
While reading this book I couldn't help but think of John Wayne playing the hero. It is the epitome of the old western sagas that made wonderful movies.

More About the Author

Author R.G. Yoho was born in Parkersburg, West Virginia. While he was still a child, his parents moved the family to a cattle farm in southeastern Ohio.

A graduate of Hyles Anderson College, R.G. has been employed in manufacturing for almost thirty years. At the same time, he worked as a freelance writer for years in many fields, such as politics and sports. In addition, R.G. also hosted a weekly radio talk show for over four years.

A proud member of Western Writers of America, Yoho's love of Westerns began with the reading of FLINT, a novel by famed Western author, Louis L'Amour.

"Now, I routinely try to write the kind of books I like to read," he said. "And other people seem to like them, as well.

"As a Western author, my books aren't exactly EAT, PRAY, LOVE. They tend to be more, 'Ride, Shoot, Shove.'"

A loving husband, father, and grandfather, R.G. is also a devoted fan of West Virginia University football and basketball.

R.G. just released NIGHTFALL OVER NICODEMUS, his fourth Western, which will be another sequel to the Kellen Malone series.
