This review is from: Death Of A Commuter (Carolus Deene Series) (Paperback)
I really like Leo Bruce's writing, and he is one of the mystery writers I can count on to provide an engrossing and entertaining story -- which is saying a lot. His use of humor does add to the books as well. What does get a little annoying is things that are cuter than they need to be. For instance, when the book is essentially "realistic" (or as realistic as standard mysteries get), why does a train have to pull into "Padoria" station in London? Without these jarring elements, I would probably give this book a 4.
