Like the movie? Then you just might love the book.,
This review is from: Death Defying Acts: A Novelization (Paperback)
Title says it all. Some would say to read the book before you watch the movie, but to be honest you can go either way. Watching the movie is pleasure for the eyes while reading the book is an enjoyment for the mind and sometimes even the soul. At least it is for me. The chance to learn more about the characters, to hear their thoughts and understand their world and the times they live in is a great treat for the one who wants more after the credits roll when the movie ends and this novel does that and more. The book itself is an easy read, not wordy and boring like so many others out there. Written from the script, Creg Cox (the author) does a great job in keeping the reader glued to every page. He even includes some great historic facts about Houdini as well as the time period which personally is a bonus in on itself.Though I didn't buy this from amazon, I would still recommend it for anyone who is curious. It's an enjoyable read. |
