Editorial Reviews

Review
The reclusive Brain Damage himself introduces this wicked tale of a closed down factory that is inhabited by the result of a wicked nuclear chemical spill! Local legend has it that as many as 24 employees of the factory were mass murdered by a worker that was horribly affected by the spill. Welcome Gorehounds to the Death Factory. This movie doesn t waste any time at all. Within the first 10 minutes we re treated to a petite hottie s breastesesses, and a few gallons of hemoglobin, when the little hottie and her boyfriend head into an abandoned factory to scope out the scene and get a little nasty, not a shabby way to start a flick. A group of college kids: the wholesome hottie Rachel, Latina gangsta Luisa, overly cautious, and somewhat effeminate Derek, soul girl Leticia, her main man Francis, and the metalhead Troy, are out of class and ready to party, however, when they get to Francis house and find out that his parents, who are supposed to be out of town, have postponed their plans, the kids are stiffed on a party hangout. Luisa comes up with the brilliant idea that they should go party at the abandoned factory on the edge of town. After Troy s story of the factory, the various couples split up for the requisite sessions of fornication. Francis shows Leticia his soul pole , Derek herds Rachel off and we know what s on his mind, but not sure if he ll get it. Troy heads out for some more smokes and beer for Luisa and it looks doubtful that Luisa is even interested in tube steak. On the gore side we get a pretty decent heart removal (pretty realistic and still beating), a few major gushfest s served up chunky style cuz this mutant killer has got a serious appetite for the jugular baby! Numerous face, head, chest and testes reconstructions performed with some VERY nasty finger cutlery (if you re thinking Freddy Krueger you re dead wrong!), a nasty ocular gouge with the aforementioned cutlery, no thanks to the victim s buddyfucking ahem- friends. The acting was damn good by indie standards, not flawless by any stretch, but impressive nonetheless, there are a few in this cast who ve gone on to do much more, including spots on very big TV shows and movies. It s pretty easy to discern who s going to be seen again in the entertainment biz, and who hasn t been heard from since. The thing I liked most about Death Factory was that the creature/killer was a female. A scantily-clad, albeit horrific killing machine that tears flesh to ribbons like a Cuisinart, and chows chunks of jugular like they were turkey legs. Her appearance is a testament to Ron Karkosa s skills as a makeup artist in that the creature is ugly as hell, yet Tiffany Shepis, the actress who plays the creature is actually quite the babe. Don t believe me? Check her out yourself at her website. A fun watch with a really good twist at the end that does a lot for the storyline, plus the hilarious cameo from schlongmeister Ron Jeremy. Recommended! --HorrorWatch

Product Description
This dark and decrepit factory was once used to make deadly experimental chemicals. One of the workers contracted a grim virus and the company denied any responsibility. The ill worker quit her job once she started to physically mutate. As time went by, she returned to the factory a half-human creature driven mad and craving human blood to survive. In an orgy of bloodshed, she maliciously slaughtered all of her co-workers. The vile creature disappeared and the factory was shut down. Since then, there have been several disappearances around the area but no proof anything happened...until now!

4.0 out of 5 stars Pure Campy Fun!, January 1, 2005
A Kid's Review
This Movie is pure campy fun! It caught my attention at the video store so i rented it! It was pretty scary and really gory! The acting sucked though which you usally see in low-budget horror flicks, but the story and the ending were great! The ending has some emotional-depth which made this film more enjoyable! The movie was predicatble though, you would know who would die next! But still it was enjoyable with alot of suspense and chills!

3.0 out of 5 stars Death factory -- what it is and what it isn't, January 12, 2003
By Kolors "Jimmy" (Pocatello, Idaho) - See all my reviews
You know, there are certain bad things you must expect from a film like this. I don't get why people rent these type of movies and then totally trash on things like the bad acting, horrible story line, the bad camera work, and the all horror movie cliches. That is to be expected from films like these. Low budget horror movies have formed into a sub-genre of traditional horror movies and if these films didn't include all the bad acting, horrible story line, the bad camera work, and all the horror movie cliches, they would betray their own sub-genre and go against the real intent of why films like these are made. Films like "Death Factory" aren't meant to touch your heart and soul. Films like "Death Factory" are supposed to be low budget, politically incorrect, immoral, and full of more blood and violence than films produced for the big screen. This is a straight-to-video blood and guts film targeted to fans of the low-budget horror film sub-genre who raise no expectations and enjoy the film for what it is worth, and not for what should be expected of it. Moving on, what I liked about "Death Factory" was how good the killer Alexa looked. They did a great job on making her brutal but sexy at the same time. And the 2 minute killing sequences were pretty brutal and worked nicely. The story twist at the end provided some emotional character attachment to Alexa with the viewer, making the ending much more interesting. This is why I give this movie 3 stars. To the people who expect all films to have the best of everything, my 3 star rating probably seems like an insanely high rating for a film like this, but you have to realize that these films aren't made for the people that expect every movie ever made to be Academy Award winning material, and nothing short of that or it's a disappointing film, but are made for the people that appreciate films like these who aren't distracted by the supposed standards of high-budget films.
