O.k, I feel that I have justice to be served here because to many people are writing unfair reviews on this book based on it's value and size. As somebody allready said in a review of another book do not come here to grind axes, this is not a place to dot his, people want to get fair reviews on these books to know wheter or not they should buy ti so that's what I'm going to do, I am here to talk about the content of this book, not the size and price. Yes the book is smaller, but did anybody here care to explain or research why the book is smaller? No they just bashed it. This book is smaller then the previous FoxTrot books because those who read the comic daily might have noticed that Sunday FoxTrot comics are now in a smaller and different format then they used to be a format also share by Mutts, the Boonedocks, Baby Blues, Lola, Get Fuzzy and to many other comics out there. Because of this new Sunday format Sunday comics would not fit right in regular collections, atleast not without looking ugly and wasting precious paper so therefore Amend had to shrink the size down. In all actuallity these books only contain about 20% less strips then the regular collections and cost a buck less. Not to mention they are now going to be released at a more rapid rate then the older ones which ussually came out about once every year ( sometimes longer periods of time rarely less) Now one of these smaller ones will come out once every six months, " Encyclopedias Brown and White " , infact, the next book coming out, comes out in August which is just four months after Death By Field Trip was released. I can live with these statistics. And lastly, if you still don't want to buy it, tresury collections will now contain three books in one instead of too with ofcourse colorized Sundays. So where as the small collection have gotten slightly smaller the treasuries ( big ones in laymans terms ) will have slightly more strips and will still be released as often as the previous treasuries if not even faster. So in conclusion, this book is not a rip off it is just a reasonable and noble change that had to take place. If you are still mad then don't sit around badgering Bill, write to Universal Press syndicate and demand his old Sunday format back.

Now, I hope that people have not been completely driven to not buy this item yet and will come here and see my review and buy it.

And atlast for the review of the actuall content! This book is really really funny! ONce again Bill Amend has succeeded in capturing the chaos of the Fox family as they intereact together in their chaotic lives and has parodied the modern world that we live in. IN this book we see the rivalries between Jason and the computer with and aditude the iFruit, we see him back to his old roots at attempting to reshape American entertainment by writing up his own screenplay for a Christmas special featuring Andy as the " Ms. Grinch who was too cheap for Christmas " a series that is the sequel to the 1998 Jason Christmas Carol. We see Jason and Marcus dream of auditioning for the Lord of the Rings, Jason morph into a mini Paige, Andy try once again to live up to her perfect mother's expectaions in a chaotic Thanksgiving duo, we see Roger and Peter go crazy during and supermarket food shopping spree, we see another seies of Halloween mayhem, we see Jason go Pokemon crazy and making the ultimate sacrifice by being Elien Jacobson's partner on the school science museum, and much much more.

In short this is another hillarious FoxTrot collection. Who cares if it's a little bit smaller if your a long time fan or are new to FoxTrot or just in the mood for some serious laughs then buy this book!

This is a great foxtrot book.It draws the name from a twelve strip long story, where Jason needs a Charizard pokemon card for his collection. Eileen, his rival/crush, has one, and she'll give it to him if he goes on the field trip to the science museum with her. There is also a storyline where Jason writes a 'new christmas special' detailing how evil Mrs. Grinch(Jason's mom) hates spending money on big presents, buying instead socks and books of poems. Other storylines include when Andy(the mom)'s mother comes for a Thanksgiving visit and when Jason has a dream where he transforms into a mini Paige.There's also the time where Jason tricks his dad into playing 'i want to be a millionaire', a game show where if you lose, you must give jason money. Another storyline is where Roger and Andy speculate on what would happen if Jason starred in the lord of the rings movie. Overall it was very entertaining and i liked it. Hope you do too.

Bill Amend does another brilliant and wonderful job in this new collection of FoxTrot Comics. In includes the different story lines of Grandma's Thanksgiving visit, I want to Be A Millionaire, Andy the Grinch, Paige-o-morhosis, Nerds of the Rings, and Peter's Cup Size. This is only the main groups, but it is hilarious from start to finish detailing some of the recent pop culture items such as Jason Fox's pokemon card collection and a parody of his role in the Lord of the Ring. Wonderful Job Once Again!

Death by field trip is so cool, I even liked it when Jason Fox had to go on a field trip with Elieen to get a Fis Edition, Holographic, Charizard Pokemon card!

I really love FoxTrot comics, and it is really worth it to get them in book form. FoxTrot is my favorite comic strip - it features a believable family, the Foxes, which is composed of the youngest sibling, the geek (Jason), a typical teenage girl (Paige), a typical teenage boy (Peter) and their parents, not to mention Jason's iguana, Quincy.

This book is hilarious - the strips are original and do not get too repetitive, as other comic strips do. Get this and enjoy!

Okay, this is a good book! I like Andy the Grinch series. good job Amend!

Although the book is a bit on the small side (read: about half the size of previous books), it's still worth the price -- rather than waiting another year or more for the next treasury to come out. The strip is funnier than ever, and the pre-gags on the Sunday strips that were removed are no big loss (most of them are lame "groaner" jokes anyways).

The newest Foxtrot book. Same, incredible comics. That's stayed the same. Catchy title. Perfectly normal. Excellent art. That's not unusual. Diffrent format.... I loved this book, but you have to realize, even though it's the same price, it's smaller! What is up with that?

This is a wonderful collection of foxtrot comics fans will love. It is as great and amusing as previous Foxtrot comics and is a must have for all fans and people who are just starting to read. The comics are engaging and tons of fun to read.
