It is impossible to put this book down. Ms. Sauke takes you into the events of the Candy Man Killer as they unfold...as if you were there during the evening that changed Halloween forever.

This was an interesting true story when it occurred in Pasadena, Texas and attracted national attention. All these years later, the author has a way of making you feel as though you are watching it unfold for the first time. She is able to draw your attention immediately upon opening the book. Not only is it interesting, it is good to remember the unfortunate occurrence and should not be forgotten. Because it is based on a true story, it makes it all the more meaningful and interesting!

Death of Halloween is based upon a true story that took place in Pasadena Texas, I live near by and this book interested me. I enjoyed the book so well that I read it in 2 days which is remarkable for me because I do not read very often. I was interested in Jimmy's problems and couldn't put the book down I wanted to know what happened to him. I wanted to know how the family was doing such as the mother and how she coped with the loss of her son and the loss of her husband since he was going to pay for his crime to her son. The book was well researched and easy to read and follow. I recommend this book for anyone who likes books about facts and murder. Stefanie
