well-written but no whodunnit,

This review is from: Death of an Innocent (Chief Inspector Woodend Mysteries) (Hardcover)
This Chief Inspector Woodend mystery, set in England is nicely written, but the culprits were easy to spot early on. The novel seems to be set sometime in the 60's or 70's but the time period is not specified. So it's curious when there is a reference to manual fingerprint matches and no reference to computers at all. It would have made the story less confusing for the reader if we had know the year in which the story was set. I would read more from this author.
