This particular episode in this particular season was and indeed still is so making me to laugh. As recently even as last night if you are still believing me because the play-off baseball was in a second rain delay in Texas of all places. In the beginning there was this giant purple squid sitting at the breakfast table. Then considerably later when Peter is told by Death--recovering in the Griffin family residence from a sprained ankle--that he, Peter, will have to be Death for one night the dramatic reaction shots of the entire family includes right at the end the giant purple squid again sitting at the kitchen table. This is if anyone cares to ask the precise explanation of why I am continually falling out of my seating arrangement--a La-Z-Boy--in helpless hoots of hee-haw at the animiated antics of the big fat Family Guy. But wait, there's more--as that dude with the brown paper bag over his head said in that other cartoon: I went out later for a walk with my dog and the first thing I notice is the stars are out. I haven't seen the stars in ages. Then that bogus cup of light the moon announces itself quite whitely and brightly--not at all full either and in fact in actual shape resembling nothing so much as Stewie Griffin's head! Nice moon I sez to Pepper, echoing something I read recently about something that same dude with the paper bag over his head might have actually said to his missus on a nighttime stroll four years ago through the upper western purlieus of a city Homer Simpson once memorably described as an urban death maze.
