This is a very fun game with an extremely well designed 2-player set-up. As opposed to some other games I've played this 2-player does a spilt screen and allows each player free reign, to a point, to run about on their own. It does send you to your partner if they get to certain part of the level before you but it for the most part it lets you each enjoy the game while playing together.
The graphics are quite good and game play is pretty easy and fun. The characters are also pretty cool, it also has a pretty good sense of humor throughout.

This game was very enjoyable.
The image and the characters were well designed and very cute. The story was funny and it had different things you could do. You could swipe your scythe (or chain depending on who you are) and shoot things. There is also jumping and swinging included. It wasn't just fighting and blowing things up, it had something for everyone. A warning: the swinging and jumping can get frustrating. When I was playing with someone else, it was easier because I could do most of it and just have him die or teleport to me (having him die also did that but only in multiplayer mode). And when I had trouble he would do it and I would teleport. So when you start jumping, be calm and collected. The more frustrated you get, the less ability you have to perform well. Most of the jumping, you can wait for the right moment. The swinging depends on what they are. Some of them swing you automatically and some you hover. There are key points to them, but I'm sure you'll find them out. Overall, the game was really fun and it's good for family or friends. Just relax and don't get frustrated. PS. There is a book and other games of this series.

You can doubt a lot of the Wii games out there, which means it's not that easy to find a lot of great titles. I've played the previous Death Jr title for the PSP, and it was great...except for the fact that it was way too hard for me. I couldn't even rescue the next person, the demons kept attacking like crazy. I've found this title to be much more of an improvement. If you liked the prequel to Roots of Evil, I would recommend playing single player. For those who need an introduction to Death Jr or thought the PSP title was too challenging or just want to play with a friend, I would recommend playing cooperative. It's much less of a challenge with a friend because, when you die, if the second player is still alive, you'll get revived and appear next to the second player. Sometimes the environments are very twisted, but that makes it funner. Would you prefer an average shopping mall over one with killer models? For fun, I would pick number two. In single player, you choose to be either Pandora or DJ (short for Death Jr) but it is much harder because, if you die, you would have to start from your last checkpoint. It's not that hard to die. After reading/watching some reviews, I sort of doubted how fun the game would be, but I don't regret buying it at all.
