Oh my...
These guys are insanely sick...
Like the other review... Think... Breadwinner, Don Cab, The champs, Dillenger Escape Plan, Candiria, and throw in some Rush and YES.. Now throw in it a blender on high speed and watch out for all those parts that are gonna come flying!

These guys are crazy tight! Stops and changes that make you laugh because they are so tight! This is a must have for any musician or prog-music fan. A great recording easily listened to over and over...

while most math rock bands seem to have left their sense of humor behind along with their "how to write a hit song" handbooks, North Carolina's The Kickass keep tongues firmly planted in cheek while bashing your brain in with mind-melding aerodynamic arse-raping rock and roll. lots of fast playing, whiplash inducing riffery, and a million time changes that come and go so quickly and effortlessly, you'll be doing multiple double takes while headbanging. but where this band really exceeds is their skill at writing an honest-to-god catchy hook. it's not all about showboating, now is it? it's about the music, and Death Metal Is For Pussies knows how to keep the momentum strong and is more than generous with the catchy math anthems. this comes highly recommended for Don Cab fans who like their early recordings and wish that they would lay off the effects pedals just for a little while. The Kickass will dominate you with their sharp skills and dashing looks until your helpless to admit that they are your new favorite band! hail!

Watch out Breadwinner, Don Cabbalero, and the like! This NC math rock band will appeal to anyone who plays an instrument. Definitly the rockingest album I have bought in a while. Do yourself a favor and buy this today and sit back for a trilogy of musical talent. The cover almost makes it worth the buy.
