This product is farily expensive if you purchase from abroad like I have, but if you're a die hard Death Note fan who cares less about cost then this product is for you. It is perfect for cosplay and decoration alike!
I bought this item as a birthday present for a relative, and as soon as she opened it she fell in love with it. And even i was tempted to buy another for myself. The book was well decorated and has all 59 rules inside, a few already written in japanese that Light and Ryuk wrote in the show and it even came with a gummy sweet. It arrived faster than expected and undamaged. Will certainly order again!

Both books are the same. This and the movie version. Although the preview picture doesn't show the same box it comes in, but it does come in a box like the one shown... just not brown.
My book came in pretty fast with no damage.

This Death Note is great! Delivery was quick, about a week, and it came with some gummy candy. Not a scratch on it at all. Its dimensions are 8" x 6.5" and is nearly a centimeter thick. Has 59 pages of rules and about twice that many pages with names written in them, mostly in Japanese, so spoiler alert!

I will admit, it was smaller than I expected.

With that said, I am happy to have such a nice and faithful reproduction of the Death note used by Kira. There are a few rules that aren't really that legible, but over-all, it's a great reproduction of one of the most notorious weapons on the face of the earth. I love it.

Pros: It's cool it contains all of the original book's rules and names, I compared them with the anime and they match! Super fast shipment!

Cons: Book looks quite cheaper and smaller than expected, its size doesn't compare to the movies or anime series at all.
Characters are a little blurred (but readable enough).
This one doesn't come with feather pen and CD, even though the box says it does. That gives me the idea that someone takes them out to sell them apart. That's quite disappointing since I feel robbed.
[ I bought the same book in my Country (Costa Rica) a few weeks ago, box has the same printing but looks better, and besides that it came with the CD and feather pen for a lower price!!! AMAZING! ]
Both boxes of the two books I bought from Anime Santa are too bent (and books are a little bent on the corners too)
I definitely expected a higher quality and material and with a better look
I bought each book for $13.95 (I thought it was the best quality option), but the $10 is the same one! Don't get fooled!
I'd like to return them and having my money back, but sending the notebooks back will be so much more expensive for me since I live overseas.
I recommend you to buy it somewhere else, with a better quality I mean (I must admit I haven't found any. Please let me know if you find a better quality one) :(

My son is very happy with this. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. It was exactly as advertised.

As others have said, if you like Death Note, you will like this. I am quite disappointed, though, that there was a large part of the top of it that was bent.
With roughly 50-60 pages of rules, roughly 10 pages of (obviously) computer-generated things written by Light, and roughly 50-60 more pages to write in, it's amazing. Also has a nice bookmark attached to the book as well.
Another disappointment was that the book was quite small. This and the other claimed 'movie size' notebook ARE the same, and they are book generally smaller than I expected.
I do remember reading something about a Death Note coming with a nice feather pen, this did not, though it came in the nice box (shown in picture) and with a gummy on the paper stating the order.
Paper inside of it is maybe a bit thicker than normal loose leaf paper, but easily bendable.
On another note, the rules are written in Japanese and English, just like in the anime/book. Some of "Light's writing" is in Japanese, some in English, also following in suit with the anime/book.

Overall, it's a great cosplay item, and if you like Death Note at all, get it! Cheap price, decent shipping speed, and overall satisfaction.

This is a wonderful product,if you like Death Note you will enjoy this.The Death Note is very durable and just like the one in the anime,and the fifty-nine pages of rules are very interesting.It is in great condition,I found a couple scratches but that was about it.Anyway it is a good deal if you really enjoy Death Note.There are fourteen pages of names and some are in english,but the last name is the one I found the most interesting.So you should buy it.

This is a very good buy and was in great condition minus like one scratch. Which I found out my friend later, bought one was well and it has one too. But besides that its great and Thank you.

It doesn't have all the rules on how to use a death note in it. A lot of the rules are missing. They're are some of Light's own writings in the book. It's nice looking and fun little cosplay item.Also good for letting out some anger by writing peoples names in it you don't like and there deaths (lol...though probably not a good idea trying to make them come true. lol). Basically if you like death note it's worth buying this.
