5.0 out of 5 stars This album kicks the sh*t out of many other hard core stuff
This album has all the good stuff that hard-core people like. it has hard songs and more. the only bad thing on it was that most of the songs sounded the same. but its no real complaint. I saw them at Krazy Fest and they were awesome.

Personally, I love this CD... Scott Vogel's originating voice was amazingly powerful. He had more balls than Jasta ever has and ever will!! The fact that the music is so tight is another plus, however if you scan through the CD listening to only the first few seconds of each song, you will notice that they all pretty much start with an open D chord... which I find hillarious but I still love it. (To the first reviewer of this album) Dude who really buys CD's anymore anyway? If you're not technologically educated I suppose I could understand but.... you posted a review so I'd think you are at least enough to not have to buy CD's. One last thing, I know much of what they were doing had been done before.... but dude who really cares? They do it BETTER in the fact that their sound actually has BALLS!!

5.0 out of 5 stars WAY BETTER THAN TERROR, April 7, 2006
This review is from: Death of Your Perfect World (Audio CD)
Buried Alive, one of the greatest hardcore bands from Buffalo, NY, also the home for such bands as Goo Goo dolls, Slugfest, Despair, Dead To the World, Snapcase, Infamous, Dead Hearts, No Time Left, The Fallen, and others. Given the fact that Buffalo is one of the toughest (and nicest) city to live in, the root of Buried Alive is easily accounted for. This CD is, without doubt, better than two Terror CDs. If you want the perfection, this CD is the answer because it possesses the outstanding combination of speed, heaviness, toughness, breakdowns, and integrity. People tend to compare them to Madball, but they are musically different. Madball is a pure NYHC which nobody can imitate. Anyway, Buried Alive's live was also phenomenal as I had witnessed several times. The band was one of the few and far between bands that can entertain audiances to full extent. I wish they would be back together again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nonstop, May 3, 2003
This review is from: Death of Your Perfect World (Audio CD)
The vocals, the guitars, the speed, the breakdowns...all perfect. Buried Alive were one of my favorite hardcore bands. Of course, like all hardcore bands, they break up. Scott has re-emerged with Terror, which is a pretty decent continuation of Buried Alive, but the lyrics are way too simple and repetitive. Anyway, this CD is anger and energy, just what you need from your hardcore heroes. Amen.

Buried Alive really rule, this CD is hugely brutal and sickeningly heavy and intense, I wounld't think less of u if u spewed or started crying the first time u heard it . If u like these guys, check out Botch, if Buried Alive had Higher vocals and the band was about twice as talented and did math rock u would have Botch .

5.0 out of 5 stars heaviest hardcore ever!, February 7, 2000
By
This review is from: Death of Your Perfect World (Audio CD)
This album is absolutely insane! Every song from track 1 to track 12 rips right through you! It starts off heavy and ends even heavier. Also, they are a straight edge band and a vegan band. Although i can't consider myself vegan, i do believe in it and wish to persue it soon. Buy this record, it is awesome HEAVY hardcore, it is worth every last bit of your money. You won't be dissapointed. if you like hatebreed or all out war, Buried Alive would be those two bands put together, to form an even heavier hardcore band than those two. My three favorite bands on victory would have to be hatebreed, all out war, and buried alive, but buried alive is easily the best and heaviest out of them.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buried Alive = generic harCDORE!, June 21, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Death of Your Perfect World (Audio CD)
Wait this album = What every other mosh/tuffguy band has been doing for the last five years. The lyrics are super cheesy, and to be honest I can't say that this album has accomplished anything. Wow how many bands have preached about veganism before? Lets see.....damn too many for me to count. Another thing Buried Alive aren't straight Edge. As much of a commercial selling point that is nowdays, these guys drink more beer(except for one guy in the band) than most high school football teams. The one good thing I can say about this album is that the music is tight. If you are interested in generic moshcore, the kind that you tuph guys eat up, then buy this album. After listening to this album I actually feel like I have gotten dumber, that is a large part of the reason I am writing this review, to help persuade you the customer save your brain cells and cash by not buying this cd.
