NECROs at the TOP of His Game with This Album! A TIGHT Package!,

"Death Rap" is Necros most pro record by far!.... His other cd's are phenomenal, but this particular one is the tippity-top of the game for sure.... He still comes correct with the sickness, but its on a different plane.... The metal beats are wicked!.... The intros & skits flow perfectly with the Album.... There are a few less songs on this cd than on average from his other releases, but nothings missing!.... Each track is SO tight.... This cd is just PRO all the way....

If you don't normally listen to Necro - try one of his earlier CDs first to see what he's all about and than give this one a shot and you'll see how Necro's music has evolved and emerged.
There is some killer (pun intended) tracks, my favorite is #1 Creepy Crawlers, complete with Charles Manson interview snippets exemplifying how disturbing he is.

Death Rap is Necro's 5th LP, and he's only getting better. The beats on this album are sharp and to the point and his lyric quality / flow is at it's best. A lot of people like to complain about the rap/metal fusion on some of Necro's stuff (some tracks on this album, and the pre-fix) but this is the smoothest combination of the two I've seen thus far. There is a good balance of pure hip-hop and metal fusion tracks on this album. The only complaint I have is the same as everyone else, the album is much too short. The "filler" (skits, intros, outros) of previous albums are missing, but on the other hand I can listen to this album on repeat over and over and it just doesn't seem to get old.
4.5/5 Buy it and we can get it percolating like the church of Satan.

Necro is an underground hip-hop legend, a hard working MC who blends his love of heavy metal, horror movies and hip-hop in a unique way and has been doing so for years. "Death Rap" is Necro's fifth full length album and his first to be distributed by Koch Records. Overall, this album is violent as expected, but not quite as lyrically shocking as his previous albums. The beats are great with a little more substance than before. Live drums, bass and guitar give the album almost a bit of a band sound at times. The lyrics are well written and Necro's vocals are at their best. The only reason this album gets 4 stars is because of the length. 37 minutes is just way too short, most songs are 2-3 minutes long and end too early. Anyway, if you like Necro get this disc.

The Prefix for Death was almost 2 hours long. this is barely past half an hour. Necro the jew is too busy worrying on how to maximize his profit by doing more shows and not paying fellow label mates. (what happened to the Secret Society Album?) On the plus side its 39 minutes of top shelf Necro with no (ok maybe a little) Filler.
But aside from that, the hard hiphop beats are sick. Necro at his darkest best. The lyrics are usual Necro genius. The guest appearances were a plus. Mike Smith of Suffocation and Steve DiGeorgio of Death were the highpoint. Brian Flair was a yawn. The drumming was sick and for Necro to pull it off flow-wise was a plus. Mr. Hyde showed signs of vast improvement in Exploitation. Ill Bill was only featured on one verse, which is a shame because Bill always shines on guest spots. The 3 minute songs could easily have accommodated an extra Bill verse here and there. THE HUGE DOWN SIDE--Necro may have lost some potential fans with some very lame hooks on the following songs, Creepy Crawl-"stabbing and stabbing" ( repeat 20Xs) STDBGS-"Im ambitious and determined with goals..." (for a mosh pit anthem?!) Keeping it real= "Im keeping it real for the streets, you know the deal" (sung by Adam Jackson) Evil Rules- "Death Rap. Extreme Violence and brutal Murder" Please tell me Necro didn't write these hooks. C'mon now, extreme metal choruses are actually 100xs more creative and poetic than this. either that or they are growled and screamed so well that you wouldn't understand it without looking at a lyric sheet. I think the choruses were way better with John Tardy or even Jamey Jasta. It is obvious Necro was trying to reach a broader fan base here. The problem is he's trying to appeal to the Black/Death Metal fans with his artwork, name dropping, and numerous references to Satan on one hand. But on the other hand his guest appearances are, aside from Mike and Steve, from mainstream metal or HardCore. I would rather see Deicide, Morbid Angel, Cryptopsy represented in this crossover but Im rambling and who cares. You win some you lose some. Ill see you in hell. CLASSIC NECRO SONGS WHICH MAKE THE ALBUM WORTH IT: ******NO REMORSE***** *****PORTRAIT OF A DEATH RAPPER***** Overall, a good album but not nearly as good as Prefix, Gory Days or I need Drugs. Some people may be turned off by the metal influences. Right Vos?

I have at least 6 or 7 necro albums, and this wouldnt be in the top 3. I like death metal and rap, but i cant get into it when you put em both together, its actually kinda annoying. i wish he would do more stuff like "i need drugs." theres only about 3 or 4 songs that i like off this album. Lyrics:B+ Beats:C-. but necro is still one of the illest rappers/producers just needs to stop trying to experiment with "Rap Metal"

GREAT PRODUCTION, CRAPPY CONTENT,

THIS ALBUM WAS GOOD, THE BEATS WERE AMAZING, I FEEL LIKE HE REALLY PUTS HIS HEART AND SOUL INTO HIS BEATS...IF ONLY HE COULD DO THAT WITH HIS LYRICS. I MEAN EVERY LINE IS ABOUT KILLING , STABBING , SHOOTING, RAPING , MUTILATING...IT GETS KIND OF OLD AFTER A WHILE. HIS FIRST TRACK, CREEPY CRAWL HAS A SUPREME BEAT...BUT THEN HE GOES AND TEARS IT DOWN WITH RETARDED LYRICS AND POSSIBLY ONE OF THE WORST HOOKS I'VE EVER HEARD. THE HOOK CONSISTS OF HIM SAYING HE WILL STAB SOMEONE TO DEATH, OVER AND OVER AGAIN, PURE GARBAGE. THERE WAS ANOTHER HOOK WHERE HE HAD SOME ROCK GUYS SINGING A HOOK, ABOUT CUTTING SOMEONES HEAD OFF WITH A MACHETE, HORRIBLE HOOK, NOT CATCHY AT ALL, JUST ANNOYING. HE WEASLED 2 STARS OUT OF ME JUST ON THE STREGNTH OF HIS PRODUCTION AND BEAT QUALITY, BUT HE IS LUCKY TO GET THAT. I HAVE LISTENED TO PARTS OF HIS OTHER ALBUMS AND ITS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING, GREAT INNOVATIVE BEATS COUPLED WITH REDUNDANT TORTURE LYRICS. IF HE WAS TO STAY BEHIND THE SCENES AND JUST PRODUCE, HE WOULD BE MORE SUCCESSFUL. HE HAS BEEN MAKING BEATS FOR SOMETIME NOW AND HE STILL CRANKS OUT SOME GREAT BEATS TIME AND TIME AGAIN, ON HIS OWN ALBUMS AND OTHERS. I VE HEARD HORRORCORE LYRICS ON OTHER PEOPLES ALBUMS TOO, LIKE VINNIE PAZ OF JEDI MIND TRICKS...HE HAS A TENDENCY TO THROW IN SOME OFF THE WALL CRAZY LINES THAT WILL MAKE YOU REWIND AND BE LIKE DID HE JUST SAY WHAT I THINK HE SAID. BUT THE DIFFERENCE IS VINNIE DOESN'T BASE HIS WHOLE STYLE OFF THAT. HE HAS POLITICAL AND SOCIOECONOMICAL LYRICS, ALOT OF ANCIENT HISTORICAL LYRICS, AND SOME BATTLE RAP STYLE LYRICS AS WELL. SO WHEN HE DROPS A LINE LIKE "STABBING SOMEONE IN THE CERVIX WITH A CRUCIFIX" YOU STOP AND TAKE NOTICE, BUT WHEN NECRO DOES IT JUST SOUNDS TIRED AND OVERDONE, IT JUST DOESN'T HAVE THE SAME IMPACT BECAUSE EVERY LINE OF OF EVERY TRACK IS THE SAME AS FAR AS CONTENT. BUT IF THATS WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR THAN THIS ALBUM IS PROBABLY FOR YOU, AND I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU ALSO BECAUSE IF THAT IS WHAT YOU WANT HEAR THAN YOU ARE SAD INDIVIDUAL WHO HASN'T REALLY ABSORBED HIP HOP FOR WHAT IT IS, A MESSAGE IN POETIC FORM, THAT DOESN'T NECASSARILY MEAN ITS SOFT AND FRUITY, JUST THAT IT HAS MORE OF AN IN DEPTH MEANING AND PROVOKES THOUGHTS. TO SUM IT UP, NECRO SUX ASA LYRICIST BUT ROCKS AS A PRODUCER.

First off let me be clear that this in no way reflects on the group. This is a cd that from what I have been able to find out was never recorded. Secondly, this cd is being offered from ----spun---- buyer beware....it is a false representation and is not the said cd. I ordered it and recieved Death Rap by Necro. Last I checked this was supposed to be Secret Society by Secret Society. Don't be fooled!
