not bad for the price, but beware of some issues!!!!!,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Death Row's 15th Anniversary (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
this is a great set, but who ever mastered all the tracks(including the dvd portion of video tracks)should be ashamed!!!. lets start with the audio cd portion...these tracks were not remastered at all!!!. plain & simple. basically all of them sound somewhat flat(though all are still in stereo)no richness or deep bass...kinda sound like less than the original masters...i.e. when the tracks were originally released like in 1992-1996, not the remastered versions released in 2001(some even sound like cheap mp3 internet files like how do u want it, california love, & snoop's g'z up, h*** down track, among others...i'm an audiophile and i know these things). as for the dvd portion the video quality is average(maybe a little above, but still average at best). you can tell of this because there are plenty of "blocky artifacts" throughout all of the videos like it was recorded on a homemade(but retail manufactered like philip's or sony, etc.)dvd recorder in the 2 1/2-3 hour mode(this dvd BTW is a single-layered disc, which means all the videos were heavily compressed, as these videos clock in at just over two hours. they could of been on a dual-layered disc for better quality). the dvd audio for the videos are in cheap crappy mono sound?????. no stereo suge?????. there very viewable & enjoyable, but at the same time how could they be so cheap. last but not least the distribution of these sets. who is in charge over at death row/koch records?????. these idiots are causing people to buy the sets twice...one at bestbuy & one at regular retail(yes all of the disc 1's in the regular non-bestbuy sets carry the 17 track bestbuy version, and best buy's disc 1 is the 13 track regular version)just to get the real collector's version of a total of 33 tracks. very dumb & stupid on the part of suge knight not to realize this!!!!!. i've wasted time and money tryin to get/put together the real bestbuy version of the set. stupid. anyway buy both versions, take the 17 track disc 1 out of the regular version and simply switch it with the 13 track best buy version, keep the original 16 track disc 2 best buy version intact, & keep the special best buy slip case & jewel case with the bestbuy bonus track names listed on them...and there you have the real-original best buy collector's edition version!!!!!. besides all the neglect & mix-ups this set contains, it is still a very vital collection, & the best one yet(and with all the rarities like g'z up, h*** down, pain, & the dvd of hard to get & find videos you just can't go wrong). for the price you get what you pay for i guess(57 total tracks for under $20), and thats probrably why there was no care or remastering done to this set.(in my case a great sale of $13.99+tax for each set...i bought 4 copies but have to return 2 because of the mix-ups). for what it is, i highly recommend it.

A 5 Star rating but....,
This review is from: Death Row's 15th Anniversary (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
Even Though it deserves 5 stars, It was missing an essential video : Keep Their Heads Ringin' By Dr. Dre. And Not only that, Best Buy offered 6 extra tracks when first released (NOTE : THIS REVIEW HAS BEEN EDITED IN 2008) {2 were on the first disc and the other 4 on the second disc} and in order to get those 4 missing Best Buy song, you had to order a free replacement c.d. from Death Row's website. Other than that, this is a great collection.

BEST BUY MIXED UP,

This review is from: Death Row's 15th Anniversary (W/Dvd) (Audio CD)
I purchased the Best Buy version and had the same problem. I purchased the regular version at Circuit City. Disc One had 17 tracks including the 6 exclusive songs and Disc Two had the original 14 tracks. Another error is that on the Best Buy version, Disc One: Track #8 Let Me Ride (Entended Version) is actually the original Let Me Ride taken from Dr. Dre's The Chronic album. If you purchased the regular version from a different store than you get the correct Track #7 Let Me Ride (Entended Version).
I think it's a decent compilation. I would recommend it for all the new fans.
