Modern day Hardy Boys,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Death Run (Hardcover)
This book was excellent. Well written, fast moving, and exciting. They remind me of modrn day Hardy boys and the old Bobsy Twins (since they are twins)I am 65 years old a a fan of Jack Higgins. I read it to be sure it was OK for my 12 year old granddaughter. They are definitely youth friendly. I found the entire series exciting to read.

By Rosa "Bookworm" (Detroit,MichiganUSA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Death Run (Hardcover)
Once Again John Chance is called away on assignment while on vacation with his children Jade and Rich. This time to protect a banker who wants to do a death run (That is start a new life) away from a ruthless crime lord called the Tiger. Don't sleep on this novel. While it's a tamer version of Jack Higgins novels. It is exciting, suspenseful and full of episonage. And if you were looking for more action than surefire you get it with this novel.

Book Two of the Rich and Jade Series,
This review is from: Death Run (Hardcover)
Unbeknownst to Rich and Jade, their father, John Chance helps a mafia banker -called the Banker- to escape to safety. What the Banker does is he invest money other criminals give him, and he makes the criminals even more money. But Tiger, who invested all his money into savings, wants to get the keys to all the criminals' accounts. The Banker runs away to a small town. Tiger tracks the Banker to that very same town, where Rich and Jade are staying also. A mix up happens and Tiger's goons accidentally take Rich along with taking the Banker.Tiger doesn't know, but the Banker only knows part of the codes for the accounts. The other part is etched into a diamond. Rich has the diamond though, and now he is in Tigers castle. DEATH RUN is the second book in the Rich and Jade spy series. This book is pretty good. The only problem is that in the last book Jade got into trouble then Rich saved her, then Rich got captured and Jade saved him. The same thing happened in this book, too. (Review by Jimmy, my middle son.)

Great Action series,

This review is from: Death Run (Hardcover)
Jade and Rich are in trouble again. Just a normal day at their new school, turns into something very dangerous and possibly deadly. The man their father helped make a "death run" (defecting from one side and creating a new identity -sort of the British witness protection program) has been compromised. He's been teaching math at their school and now the school's crawling with goons looking for him. Luckily for him, Jade and Rich have been through the kind of thing before. They're hatching plans of escape for themselves and their fellow classmates while trying to call in the cavalry. My Thoughts: The sequel to Sure Fire is another great ride chock full of action, mystery, and adventure. This book reads like a spy movie, drawing the reader in and not letting go until the very last page. I LOVE this series and can't wait to devour more! |
