Great Punk Rock,

They breathed new life into sci-fi/horror punk. Misfits fans take note...they are not clones, but you will like them for what they are.

An All Time Favorite,
By Cliff Galbraith (North Hollywood, CA United States) - See all my reviews

I must've listened to this CD 1,000 times. It's scratched, it skips in my car's CD player and I'll be buying a new one soon. Everyone I've ever played this for was going around singing a tune from it a few hours later. It's right up there with my Desendents, Misfits, NOFX and Ramones records. "I Saw The Apeman On The Moon" is one of the funniest, catchiest, old school style punk tunes ever recorded.

Pure PUnk Pop pleasure,
By A Customer
This review is from: Death By Television (Audio CD)
Easily the best album of its type I've heard since the early Ramones. From the opening song's giddy chorus of "War of the Worlds we're all gonna die" to the last song the Lillingtons walk the walk and talk the talk of no hope punks who have fried their brains watching too much late night tv. Just Great. Set your stereo to 11 and enjoy.

Music with Subliminal Messages,
By NATON "ndep22" (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Death By Television (Audio CD)
Finally, I get to Review this release'Death By Television'... describe the song'i Need some Brain damage'. The song talks to you. The first lines are "Do you wanna wake up at 6:15?? Wanna Go to work at the DairyQueen?? This message Sounds familar, as it refers to us being the "working slaves" that we are. Next is track 2'Dont trust the Humanoids(words like: They'll stab you in the back). It sounds like the singer is preaching to everyone but using different words. It is hilarous. Track 3'Black hole in my Mind'gives a warning of suicide. Track 6' would have been the perfect opening song for the movie "Mars Attacks". The song is that Good. "Murder On my Mind"another track you'll never forget. Man, this is violent.
The Lillingtons are creative, and they made this release one of a Kind. The pace is quick and packed with strong feeling. If there were ever a CD with subliminal messages, This would be it.

Lillingtons Death By Television is great pop-punk,
By Danny Allstar (USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Death By Television (Audio CD)
It's hard to play Ramones influenced pop-punk without sounding stale and generic. The Lillingtons are one of the few bands that can do it... and do it well. These songs about spacemen and UFO's are great. However, my question is, the song "You're the Only One" is about a girl from TV - who is it? I can't figure it out? If anyone knows, or just wants to talk about pop-punk and the Ramones, email me at Hooligan027@aol.com. See ya later, Danny Allstar

By A Customer
This review is from: Death By Television (Audio CD)
when i first heard this amazing CD it was so good i was retarded for 3 hours.. it was so powerful that i was stunned that music from this day and age could be so simple, direct, and most importantly, fun! this is an OUTSTANDING sophmore release from these guys. if you dont buy this, you should be sedated, put on a rocket and sent aimlessly into the depths of space never to be seen again. end of story. ,¡,,

Good old non-serious punk rock,
By A Customer
This review is from: Death By Television (Audio CD)
Now this is more like it. I was wondering when another good punk rock band that didn't take itself too seriously was going to put out a record. These guys carry on the true Ramones tradition: comic-bookish lyrics, catchy tunes, sing-along choruses, fast and poppy. They got it all! "You're the Only One" is a great, great song.
