While this was a wonderful book back in the day, this material has been updated and thus surpassed. Roger Mitchell rolled this material into "A Guide to 46 Four-Wheeling Excursions in the Backcountry in and around Death Valley National Park" (2001) and more recently "Death Valley SUV Trails: A Guide to 40 Interesting Four-Wheeling Excursions in the Death Valley Country" (2006). Purchasing this book is only for adventurers who are looking for a road or two that is no longer driveable or a trail didn't make the cut to be included into the later books.
