Here's a general rundown of my experience with the first pot of Death Wish Coffee.
1st cup - Hmm, this aint bad. Tastes pretty good. I like it. 2nd cup - Dang, I'm feeling groovy. Let's get some work done. 3rd cup - Didyaknowscientiststhinkthereareparalleluniversesandlikeyoucouldbelivinganinfiniteamountoflivesindifferentrealities? 4th cup - OH. MY. GOD. THERE ARE ANTS CRAWLING UNDER MY SKIN, DUDE!
Summation: Dang good. A swift kick in the ass. But really expensive.

This coffee is pretty good honestly, and the kick it gives you is great. If you want to stay up all night look no further! However, I was disappointed by the lack of death the coffee supplied, but I guess that isn't all bad.

Wow!!! that's some good tasting coffee. I'm a truck driver and need to keep alert. Most of the high caffine coffees I've tryed gave me the buzz but tasted like crap. I will buy again.

This coffee is $20 for 1lb of whole beans which is pricey, but they claim it is the strongest (most caffeinated) coffee in the world. If you do not have a coffee grinder at home, you have to get one in order to try this coffee, as they do not sell ground coffee. Or you can cover the whole beans in chocolate and pop them like candy! :)
I ordered mine from Amazon, but they have their own site to order from -deathwishcoffee.com-. You can get all their swag and some chocolate! on their site as well, also very expensive. Mine came with a free sticker that I promptly placed on my laptop, as to create the illusion that I am a bad a$$.
Per package instructions, you have to use 2-1/2 tbs of coffee grounds for each 6 oz (2 cups in a drip coffee maker) of water. Which is more than normal and I was suspicious that the use of more coffee was a ploy for them to get you to run out and buy more- sooner. And that may well be, but the coffee brew that came out of the extra grind was not extra thick- or chewy, as my sister calls it.
The flavor is VERY smooth for a "strong" coffee. The brew was very, very flavorful, not acidic or bitter in the least bit. Which surprised me. It was close to a Kona flavor. And let me just say that I hate the taste of plain coffee. I drink coffee for the caffeine only. And so I normally use a ton of creamer. But I was able to drink the death wish without ANY creamer and I did not want to vomit! So that is a major plus.
But as far as kick in the pants caffeine goes, it was a major let down!!!!! I should preface this by saying that I am a VERY, VERY low energy person. My life exists between naps (which I have learned to sub coffee in for naps because I am an adult and I cannot just take a nap whenever I want, boooo).Read more ›

I brew about 10 oz of this every AM into a steel thermos, and it gets me through the day. (I used to be a 2-4 cup-a-day guy, drinking Starbucks medium roast.) SO yeah, it's strong. I basically just find myself not wanting coffee in the afternoon anymore.
One might think from the menacing packaging and the outrageous amount of caffeine that it doesn't taste smooth. This coffee is delicious. I'm not a coffee connoisseur by any means, but personally, this is the best stuff I've ever tasted. I drink it black, and brew it with purified water, so I taste nothing but the coffee. I'm drinking some right now.
Just wish it was a little cheaper because I'm spoiled now and will probably continue buying this for the foreseeable future.

All the hype on the box about the taste, quality and how much energy this stuff has? It's true. I had some without realizing it once, it was great coffee, my family loved it, and I ended up talking with my dad who normally goes to sleep by 10pm until 1am without either of us noticing. I've also had this coffee BLACK. I hate unsweetend coffee, it's too bitter. Not Death Wish, it's great.
