Old School Black Death. (Old Sodom Fans Take note!), March 6, 2006

It's hard to believe there are hardly any reviews on this band's CD's. First off, this is old school Death Thrash, much in the tradition of the legendary Sodom recordings, In The Sign of Evil and Obsessed By Cruelty. Terror, the singer, sounds like Cronos (Venom) and Angelripper (Sodom) mixed toether in some unholy marriage of wickedly satanic vocals. Deathwitch sounds so evil, it's weird. This is their release from 2002. Defintely check my reviews for their earlier releases, which has James Murphy (ex guitar shredder from Death, Obituary, Cancer, etc.)at hand for the mastering of the discs. The first CD I heard by this band was, Monumental Mutilations, which can also be found on here, also with James Murphy at the controls and even Andy Laroque (King Diamond and Death) producing a few tunes. If you are into ANY old school bands like, Sodom, Destruction, Celtic Frost, or Venom, start with Monumental Mutilations, after that you'll do what I did: buy all Deathwitch you can find!
