This music is more addictive than any opiate - by that third hit you will be willing to sell Amway for another listen. I hate to classify, but think pop with a very indie sound. My only complaint is that this is their only friggin album.

I bought this CD with an open mind, looking for something that if not CAKE, was at least as fresh as CAKE.

The CD isn't bad--it's better than average "alternative". But overall, it floats at surface level with a lot of other contemporary "alternative" stuff. Essentially, you'd have a hard time identifying the sound. In contrast, CAKE is absolutely...

I bought this CD with an open mind, looking for something that if not CAKE, was at least as fresh as CAKE.

The CD isn't bad--it's better than average "alternative". But overall, it floats at surface level with a lot of other contemporary "alternative" stuff. Essentially, you'd have a hard time identifying the sound. In contrast, CAKE is absolutely brilliant, a sound so original that it's in the league of the Talking Heads and DEVO.

Please, guys. More CAKE. Less Deathray.
