About the Author

Marie Hall has always held a dangerous fascination for creatures that go bump in the night. And mermaids. And of course fairies. Trolls. Unicorns. Shapeshifters. Vampires. Scottish brogues. Kilts. Beefy arms. Ummm... Bad boys! Especially the sexy ones.

Then the day came she realized apart from the sexy bad boy she married, there'd be no vampires/shapeshifters/mermaids/fairies/or even stinky trolls in her future unless she wrote about them. More often than not she can be found roaming the wild, lush tropical forest she calls her backyard (a.k.a. Hawaii) and day dreaming constantly about her latest project.

Her Mad Hatter is the first book of her Kingdom Series.

She loves to hear from her readers and can be reached at mariehallwrites@gmail.com

This was my first Marie Hall book, but Death's Redemption was fantastic! I didn't realize this was the second book in the series. I didn't feel as if I was missing any pertinent information about this world or the characters in it. This book had everything that makes me fall in love with a story like this: a hero and heroine who argue all the time as a means to divert the sexual energy swirling around them, humorous dialogue, funny situations, a bit of mythology, danger and suspense, and scorching hot sex.

I absolutely adored this pairing of Frenzy aka Death aka The Grim Reaper and Mila, the Seer. Mila was feisty and stubborn, and I loved that the angrier she got, the more pronounced her brogue became. She was stubborn and had quite a temper on her. But Frenzy matched it with his own stubbornness and the endearing quality of not knowing how to deal with humans in general. There may have been some Fae arrogance involved as well. Despite the verbal sparring, they could be mature and had the decency to apologize when either one of them was in the wrong. I really enjoyed the natural and believable progression of their character arcs. It took Mila quite a long time to accept her new reality and let go of the past. Frenzy's blunt but honest approach wasn't always the best way, but it allowed for some great moments of compassion and nurturing to come forth.

Frenzy tried again, but not even a flicker of awareness crossed her face. “You have been such a pain in my ass,” he growled, and then sighed. “And I’d be really pissed if you left me now.”

The suspense was really good, killing methods were graphic enough to be effective; just the right amount of wickedness and gore. Frenzy's methods were at times rather sexy.

Mila has a big secret. She is a seer. A human with a gift so rare, that it's almost too dangerous for the human born with it against other species, if they happen to get their hands on her. Working with an élite San Francisco task force, her job was to use her powers and bring justice to the supernatural that have gone rogue. Unfortunately the fact that Mila is a seer was leaked, and now the very same people she was hunting is out to get her.

The only thing Mila wants to do is die, upon being discovered. But Lise, a woman who seem to be good at helping out the others has different plans for her. Now, Frenzy the reluctant grim reaper is forced to baby sit the human turned hybrid and prevent her from dying or getting into the wrong hands. Easier said then done.

Great book. I love paranormal, so I was naturally drawn to it from the moment I saw its announcement. I never read the first book, but that's okay - it follows a different set of characters anyway.

I adore the world that Hall has created. A paranormal I really enjoyed. The vampires are scary, thus making some of the stuff in the book a bit cringe worthy. Making this a slightly more scarier take on some of the paranormal books out there, a bit more....bloodier, meaner.

Mile and Frenzy are by no means perfect. She knows that her gift in the wrong hands can be devastating to the society. When all she really wanted to do was die, she ends up being saved in a form of a vampire/werewolf hybrid - which is also slightly original in this book. The last thing she wanted to become was one of the creatures, so she tries her best at times to put an end to herself in hopes of saving the human races.

Frenzy was well.. he is a grim reaper. He isn't all that glad about his job and kind of wants out.

Death’s Redemption
Marie Hall
Forever Yours, Jun 3 2014, $17.00
ISBN: 9781455549917

Mila O'Fallen is the last known human seer whose visions enable her to see other people’s past and future fate. As for herself, she knows her life is harsh if anyone, especially the paranormal, learn of her ability; as they will pursue her. However to save a girl’s life, Mila exposes herself.

Following her Good Samaritan deed that awakens others to her skills, vampires trap Mila when a big person arrives at the scene. Frenzy the Grim Reaper plans to harvest another pathetic human soul but is stunned as this mortal has the eyes of his late beloved who perished centuries ago. Though Mila pleads with him to leave her to die, Frenzy refuses as he feels an attraction like no other since his soul mate left him bereaving. As they flee together, evil pursues her with a diligence because she is the tool to destroy multiple species.

The second Eternal Lovers romantic urban fantasy (see Death’s Lover) is a fabulous grim (no pun intended) paranormal thriller. Readers will appreciate the supernatural species (fae, vampires, and werewolves; oh, my) as each of them as well as the skills of the lead power couple come across as genuine. However, the key to this entertaining tale is the relationship between the good seer and the bad reaper because to our delight love melts his tundra frozen heart.

More About the Author

Marie Hall is a NY TIMES and USA Today bestselling author who loves books that make you think, or feel something. Preferably both. And while she's a total girly girl and loves glitter and rainbows, she's just as happy when she's writing about the dark underbelly of society. Well, if things like zombies, and vampires, and werewolves, and mermaids existed. (Although she has it on good authority that mermaids do in fact exist, because the internet told her so.)

She's married to the love of her life, a sexy beast of a caveman who likes to refer to himself as Big Hunk. She has two awesome kids, lives in Hawaii, loves cooking and occasionally has been known to crochet. She also really loves talking about herself in the third person.
