I bought this in preparation for teaching a high school debate class and it is extremely useful. The students ask for it and use it because they've found it so helpful.

If you're planning to compete in debate, a well rounded knowledge of stock issues is a must have. This book or the pro & cons book has the issues that may come up in a competition. It is a good idea to browse the book before an actual debate because the subject titles maybe a little confusing. There is no definitions so if you don't have at least a small understanding before hand this won't help during the 15 minute prep time but it will help to refresh your memory. In our debate I had to figure out if the WTO section in the book was under free trade or international relations and that took up more time than it should have.

If you're a fan of debate and enjoy it as a sport (among friends and family) or just need some help with homework then this book will serve as a useful tool.
