5.0 out of 5 stars She deserves to be heard, October 21, 2002

This review is from: Debbie Deane (Audio CD)
Debbie Deane has great vocals, great composition and great song writing abilities. She bring her smooth, jazzy, piano-playing music to us through this collection of songs that would make any of her contemporaries like Alicia Keyes and Vanessa Carlton shake in their boots.

She keeps it pure and organic. The songs are not pushed to be anything more than what they are: great songs about true emotion. She keeps it real and it works.

Check out her CD. You won't regret it.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank you Debbie. I love, love, love this CD from the very first time I heard it.And I can't stop listening! It is soulful, heartfelt, soft, funky and jazzy. Complex yet subtle. Beautifully written and beautifully performed. It is music that really stays with you...wonderfully. She has a beautiful full voice that can do everything...from subtle and soft to strong and commanding. Her piano playing is flawless and she is accompanied by exceptionally talented jazz musicians who truly do her music justice. Ms Deane is a true talent and a rising star. This CD is for everyone.I'm gifting everyone I know with a copy. I can't wait for her next CD. She has a true fan for life.

5.0 out of 5 stars NYC's best kept secret, June 30, 2003

Somehow, somewhere, someone will wind up taking the credit for discovering this awesome hidden talent. God only knows why it's taken so long as it is... But until that day comes, I feel truly blessed by the music gods to have been touched by this fantastic, heartfelt musician. When you listen to this album for the first time, you can't help but feel like you've grown up with this album from childhood. I highly recomend this album to anyone who loves to take a chance on the unknown and be rewarded. Now I can only wait for CD #2. Come on Debbie hurry up!
