First published two hundred years ago, Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage is now in its 144th edition. Indispensable as a work of reference, it lists the genealogical details of all of Britain's titles families. This new publication details the changes since the 2000 edition, including the deaths of 52 hereditary peers, and the biographies of 142 new life peers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Debett's Peerage and Baronetage - 2003, September 20, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Debrett's Peerage and Baronetage 2003 (Hardcover)
An excellent and complete summary of the nobility of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It lists all titles and ranks of nobility (including "life peers,") as well as titles which have gone extinct, with the year the last holder of the title passed away. It also includes brief biographies of earlier holders of the title (for example, if the current peer is the Fourth Earl, there are thumbnail bios of the first three). An invaluable reference for "royal-watchers," and the pre-owned copy I purchased was far less expensive (and thus a far better value) than buying new.
