Awesome Product,

This is an amazing product, if used correctly. I have chronic ear problems so I'm constantly using prescription hydrocodone cream and using q-tips to apply it. This is part of what my doctor has me doing to stop the dermatitis I have around and in my ear. The backlash is, stuff gets stuck in my ear because I use the q-tips even though I'm only going a very little ways into my ear to apply the medication. At least three times a year I'm in the doctor's office trying to get crud out of my ear and it's time costly more than anything.
Enter Debrox to save the day! I add about 5-10 drops in each ear and sit for anywhere between 5-15 minutes with my head tilted (laying on the couch). Do what you feel comfortable with. I keep a cotton swab handy to hold over my ear when I get up and a wash cloth in case of accidents. Then I go to the bathroom to flush. Here's how I flush (and get results!): First, I get a glass for water - using something small that I can get the washer out of as the washer does no good stuck in a pint glass, I've found. Fill the glass with warm water and get the washer filled up and ready. Now, I like the water a little more warmer than I envision most people do but be careful, too hot or to cold and you'll get dizzy, pass out, and/or damage your ear drum! Try lukewarm water first. Throw a towel over the shoulder with the corresponding ear; remove the cotton swab and tilt to empty the ear. Now, take the ear washer and put it in the ear comfortably and squeeze, with your head still tilted to the side in order to empty out the ear. If your head is tilted the wrong way you may only drive the earwax FURTHER into the ear, forcing a doctor's visit. Remember, ear wax is not soluble in water, we're only using water as the vehicle of irrigation in order to move the wax here. So you want it to come out WITH the water - and it can be messy but you want it out not in so that is not the point. Good luck and hopefully it works as well for you all as it does for me. PS - Don't wear good clothes while doing this. Happy hearing!

My ears were clogged up with so much earwax that I could not hear in one of my ears. I bought this product an hour ago and just tried it (not expecting it to work) and all my earwax dripped out while I washed my ear out with the washer bulb that comes with the package (it took about 10 minutes total - with several squirts of the washer bulb while tilting my head so the water falls out with the product and earwax). I can hear again!! It only took 1 try, which was very surprising to me. The cool thing about it is you will actually hear your earwax crackling due to release of oxygen and the product foaming so you know that it's actually working. It removed all of the earwax and it didn't even hurt. I am extremely pleased with this product.

I only used once a day for four days and it cleared up a case of wax buildup quickly. I've never searched much for a product to do this type of work (well, besides Murine Earigate which is a joke)...but this solution (recommended by my doctor) worked marvelously for me!

You've got to really irrigate your ear - but you will get results.,
This review is from: Debrox Drops Earwax Removal Aid Kit - 0.5 Oz (Health and Beauty)
I thought this product didn't work, but I wasn't using it correctly. After you drip the drops into your ear canal, you've got to use the rubber bulb without mercy. I mean, you've got to really blast it in there, all the way in there. And since you're working against gravity - your ear needs to be tilted down - you have to squeeze with deliberation.
If you did it right, you'll only have enough water for a 2-3 second burst of roiling tap kissing near your eardrum. The rest of the water in the bulb will have to roll over to the next desperate burst. It takes practice to use the green bulb right. There's so many wrong angles at which the water won't get deep enough into your ear canal. But you'll know when you're using it right: huge pieces of ear wax coming out, so large that you couldn't believe they were stuck deep in your ear in the first place. Eventually you'll know you're done, either because the water reaches your eardrums - stop! - or your hearing immediately improves. Suddenly the uneasy dullness gives way to the bright timbre of unadulterated hearing, and it will be a brand new day. I was this close to scheduling an appointment with a doctor. Using Debrox properly is all about irrigating properly. Don't quit; even when your legs and back are aching. :)

Debrox review,
This review is from: Debrox Drops Earwax Removal Aid Kit - 0.5 Oz (Health and Beauty)
I really really wanted to like this product. When I first used it the "tingling" sensation that in my ear gave me hope that it was actually working, however the only thing it managed to do was clog me up even further, and get trapped behind some wax giving me awful pain. After suffering and trying to "keep with it" for 3 days I headed straight to my ENT to find out that Debrox had caused the wax to get wedged in my ear and give me a mild middle ear infection. Will be skipping it from now on. Also as a side note, I really wish they had enclosed instructions on how to flush your ear with the syringe.

I went to my doctor thinking I had a sinus condition and my ears were involved internally. I could not hear out of my right ear. I have had a series of colds this spring and I was certain I had some type of ear infection or sinus condition. Well she looked in my ears and said they were plugged with wax. She tried flushing them in the office with this huge metal syringe thing and warm water and Hydrogen Peroxide. It didn't work. She said try putting a few drops of Hyrdogen Peroxide in the ear at home or I could try the Debrox. I have heard that Peroxide is essentially the same thing but the Debrox came in a kit with a bottle that had a long applicator tip and a small rubber bulb. I put a squirt in my right ear as I leaned to the left. I was able to watch TV believe it or not. I could hear it popping and bubbling. I waiting 10 minutes or so then I tried the rubber bulb to suck out the ear. I know you are supposed to flush it but I wasn't aware of it. Well...this tuff disolves the ear wax into this really greasy liquid. I was able to suck out a ton of the stuff and my hearing started to come back. I tried a Q-tip and was able to extract quite a bit of hard ear wax too. I can hear great now. My only issue I am not sure I got it all and short of going to the doctor and having her look inside I'm not sure how you know...I think I will try again tonight. Maybe if the liquid doesn't get greasy then all the wax is out. Anyway...it worked great. A little gross and be careful you have paper towels and the like around as the ear grease (gag me) can stain. Good luck.

This stuff works! (4-5 treatments necessary),

I couldn't hear out of one ear after sleeping overnight with earplugs. My doctor looked in my ear and said he couldn't see my eardrum because of the earwax. He recommended using these drops for 4-5 days until the problem was solved.
Simply following the instructions, this product works well. Don't expect much to happen after 1-2 treatments. Although I could hear the fissing sound, the drops did not remove much wax each time. My ear would then drain the rinse water slowly over several hours so I would use a paper towel to rub my ear every so often. By the fifth day my ear wasn't slowly leaking the rinse water, the earwax was gone and I could hear well again. This is a great and inexpensive way to get rid of earwax buildup.

My doctor saw so much wax in my ears that she literally flinched and jumped back! She told me to purchase some OTC earwax remover, and I chose this one. This is a safe, non-irritating, odor-free liquid. The soft fizzing you hear when it's in tells you that its working. It took about a week for it to work (I had a LOT of wax), but even on the days when I didn't put any solution in my ears, the stuff was still cleaning. My ears are unplugged, clean and clear, and wax-free! Highly recommended!

It took several rounds of all the steps recommended on the instructions but it did finally work. It could have just been me since I've never used any product like this before and I'm pretty skittish about pouring liquid in my ears. Someone with experience would have had an easier time most likely. Bottom line, it will work, even if your shaking your head like a wet dog because you're "ear shy".

I just used this product. All I have to say is 10 minutes ago I couldn't hear anything with my left ear, now it's fully restored. There was a lot of wax in my ear. I have read the reviews from other people, and those who find it unfavorable are either the ones who applied it wrong, or the very isolated case where for God knows what reason it just didn't work. Bottom line, if Debrox doesn't do the job, the only thing that will is the doctor.
