About the Author

John Cummuta is President and CEO of Financial Independence Network Limited, and he is uniquely suited for the responsibilities of this position.

John and his wife Lois have been married for twenty-five years. They and their children, daughter Stacyann and son Adam, live in southwest Wisconsin. As a typical middle-class American family, they have had limitless opportunities to make both good and bad financial choices. They've seen life from both sides of the fence: making nearly every possible financial mistake and ending up with nothing but bills - and then taking back control of their financial lives - with NO bills...and money building in their investments.

He learned from his personal experiences, and from watching others who had achieved what most people would classify as Success, that it's not really HOW MUCH money you make, but rather WHO ends up with the money you make.

5.0 out of 5 stars The BEST system for debt elimination and financial freedom, February 19, 2003
This review is from: The Debt-free & Prosperous Living Basic Course (Paperback)
...I have read many books on the mechanical, spiritual, and emotional aspects of money, personal finance, and debt elimination, and Mr. Cummuta's contribution in this field is by far the finest. His system will get you out of debt quicker and easier than any other system.

In his tapes he will explain how we have been brainwashed by the banks into believing that credit is good, how we've fallen into the "monthly payment" trap, the price we pay for committing our future income to creditors, and why consolidation loans and mortgage refinancing will leave you worse off than before. He'll explain why it is NOT a good idea to save money when you are in debt and why your mortgage interest deduction is a bad deal. If you're like me, you'll listen to tape 2 over and over again until your subconscious is retrained to understand the horrible cost of "I have to have it now." The workbook will take you step by step through the system and show you how to cut costs and pay off your debt in 5 to 7 years--including your mortgage--all with the money you are currently making. It will also show you how to quickly build retirement wealth and offers other tips too numerous to mention.

I can't speak highly enough for this program. It has totally changed how I think about credit and spending and has given me tremendous hope for my financial future.

5.0 out of 5 stars Soon to be DEBT FREE!, February 6, 2002
By
Ann (Colorado) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Debt-free & Prosperous Living Basic Course (Paperback)
What an outstanding book! My neighbors are now debt free due to their application of the concepts in John's book to their budget. They had quite a sizeable debt and it took them just slightly over 5 years to become totally debt free. I have been following the program for 2 years. I have reduced my debt by $10,000. I had 3 student loans, 1 credit card, and a house payment. I have paid off 1 student loan and am 3 payments short of paying off the credit card. I even had to opt out of the program for 3 months due to some unexpected expenses that popped up. Yes, John's plan even has guidelines for this! I got right back on the program as soon as I could and kept focused on paying off bills, not making them. I live on a limited income and have still managed to make this work. I have 8 years left to pay on my house, but with John's plan it will be paid off in just 3. In the next 8 months all my bills, with exception of the house, will be paid off. This book is plainly written, easily understood and based on common sence. It takes discipline and focus to keep on track. However, the rewards of being debt free are well worth it. This is a book that everyone can benefit from. Seems expensive? Not when you compare it to what you will save by being debt free. It is well worth the purchase price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, straight forward, LIFE CHANGING, March 10, 2000
This review is from: The Debt-free & Prosperous Living Basic Course (Paperback)
You can't argue this plan. It's basic, simple math that will blow your mind. This guy is a genious. Anyone who is serious about beating debt should read this book. It's an expensive one, but if you buy just one book about paying off your debts, this is the one. Pair it up the Simple Living Guide and you are all set. Very very inspirational. THANK YOU Mr. Cummuta.
