3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good book debunking theistic evolution October 21, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase

* Funny

* Some unique arguments

* Good job at showing the folly of theistic evolution

* Very short

* Arguments aren't too indepth

This is a mildly entertaining book with a nice bit of humor. Jackson does quite a good job at showing how ridiculous it is for Christians to pretend that parts of the Bible are not to be taken literally, unless of course it agrees with modern science, in which case it is to be taken as a fact. Of course, we can make any fantasy book fit modern science if we play this little game. Unfortunately, the book is quite short, but that is to be expected when the topic of theistic evolution is so stupid, which makes it so easy to refute. It can easily be read in a single sitting (30 mins - an hour).

This book is actually mildly depressing. The author adds quotes from PhD 'scientists' that are so mind numbingly retarded that I just had to sit in awe and shake my head. It would be nice if the author went into the psychological state of these theistic 'scientists', such as to talk about topics like compartmentalization. Even without this, I'd still say that it's Jackson's best book that I've read.

Overall, it's a pretty good book that has a few unique arguments that make it worth the 99 cent price tag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Science or Caveman? November 26, 2011

This is a short read, but very interesting with a little humor. Loved it! One of the points in the book about some science professors belief's was really funny. Here are people who have to prove their work everyday in order to be excepted by their peer's - but yet when some of them read a book written by cavemen they have faith, even though the world was not flat and the sun did not go around the earth. To me, if the science/book is wrong they throw it out, but I guess for some people it just turns into faith. What a Joke! Hope you enjoy it has much as I did.
