I figured these would be a sort of "throwaway" option for use when working in the yard, chainsawing lumber for woodworking/woodturning, or maybe even when mountain biking. That is pretty much what they are, so no complaints. Don't think they would be comfortable for long periods on a bike, where you have to grip the handlebars.
