4.0 out of 5 stars pretty darn good, April 26, 1999
By A Customer
this video, while it delivers what it promises, just doesn't live up to the Duran Duran - The videos tape I just bought. This new tape has all but 4 of their videos (carless memory, night boat, my own way, and lonely in your nightmare)on it, plus all of their new ones. Definately check it out

4.0 out of 5 stars Missing the best!, June 3, 1999
By A Customer
I've been looking for the more obscure videos (Night Boat,The chauffer,Lonely In Your Nightmare).I was hoping to find them here, and I'm very disapointed.A second edition would be snached up by us Duranies-especally if they were the uncut versions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pioneers of muisc video culture, April 7, 1999
By A Customer
Released in 1989 as a companion to a greatest hits albm, this long-form video showcases the first band to capture and celebrate the music video genre. Included are the James Bond-esque mini-movies for "Rio", "A View To A Kill', "Skin Trade", and the all-time classic "Hungry Like The Wolf" (coincidentally Sold Gold's first Video Of The Week). You love them, or you hate them, but it's tough to ignore them and not to enjoy what most bands today look back on as historical precidents, thanks to directors Godley & Creme, Russell Mulcahy, Simon Milne, & Big TV.

4.0 out of 5 stars nice to see...needs more"old" videos, October 15, 1999
By
I enjoyed going back to my high school years with this video...my "all time favorites" were "Save a Prayer" and "Nightboat"..loved Simon reciting obscure Shakespearean poetry.. They definitely need to release a new collection with the more obscure videos...I had an original copy of the video and the "Sing Blue Silver" video, but they got wrecked in my apt. storage unit during Hurricane Georges( Key West, 1998). John Taylor is STILL a beautiful man to look at!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC!!!!!, May 16, 1999
By A Customer
I have the original video from when they were still the fab 5. To see all of the videos I watched when I was in my early teens was fabulous! I recently saw Duran Duran, as they are now, in Dec 1998 and the songs still sound the same and the magic is still there. Although I did not get to see them when they were the five of them, but two is better than none. By the way, my favourite is Roger!!! And I loved him in Night Boat!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not complete, April 20, 1999
By A Customer
This video is great fun for those of us who were 80's kids, but I'd like to see ALL of the boys' earlier videos, especially "New Moon on Monday" and more obscure titles like "The Chaffeur." A second volume would be great!!

5.0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING!!!! (Like all of thier work), April 14, 1999
By A Customer
An amazing collecton, but it needs more videos! Especially videos that show all Simon, John, and Nick! I would love to see a collection of all the videos on 1 cassette, as well as interviews and live performances; and I would love for Simon, John and Nick to remake and re-release some or all of thier videos, and make some videos for some previously released songs (like The Seventh Stranger) as well as continue to make new ones;

4.0 out of 5 stars Overall a good compilation for non-avid fans, April 9, 1999
Duran was one of the innovators of the music video. They established the "live" video with "The Reflex" which was copied heavily by many other bands. Decade is a good collection of hits but they have so many more videos to offer that this just falls a little short. I still enjoy their earlier compilations.
