4.0 out of 5 stars Decadent Evil 2, September 19, 2007
This review is from: Decadent Evil II (DVD)
I watched this movie without having seen the first "Decadent Evil", and they show you a 2 or 3 minute recap at the beginning of the movie, and that was enough for me to understand the story leading up to that point. The Movie is about a sweet vampire named Candy and her boyfriend Dex, who are traveling with Marvin the Homoculus and Marvin's dead son(died in the first movie)to Arkansas, to track down the head vampire and to get his blood so they can revive Marvin's dead son. They end up tracking him to a small town's Strip Club, where they take jobs( Dex as a Janitor and Candy as a Dancer)to infiltrate the vampire clan to find out who's the head vampire. The movie is not bad, not much happens though. And it ends up turning into more of a Mystery movie than any Horror movie. But, none the less it still entertains. This movie is not for everyone. If you enjoy B movies or have seen other Full Moon movies you should enjoy this one. If you're seeing this only cause the plot is centered around a Strip club you shouldn't be too dissapointed in that aspect. But, if you like "Horror" in your Horror movies you should probably keep looking. The only real horror in the movie are the vampires.

1.0 out of 5 stars I Love Full Moon, October 3, 2010
This review is from: Decadent Evil II (DVD)
Folks, if you slapped this in your player figuring you were going to get some timeless vampire classic, you must not have looked closely at the back of the box. This is Full Moon and in Full Moon country...hooters, blood and cheese rule with an iron fist! Charles Band makes films for B-movie junkies and nobody...you heard me...nobody does it better than he does.

That being said...Decadent Evil 2 was trash. I enjoyed (I use that word loosely) it but it was far from a GOOD film. I won't lie to you all, the acting was pretty bad in some places, the dialogue was stiff and unnatural and it was obvious the script could have been tightened up. I was also VERY disappointed with the cinematography; it looked amateurish. Now, is there anything about this film that can possibly redeem all of the above? Well, no...not really. Although, I should point out that there was some smokin', no super smokin', stripper sequences! Man, a schoolgirl outfit? Charles, you dog!

I could probably mention that some of the CG was sketchy but what would be the point? It's Full Moon, need I say more? You're either going to devour this kind of stuff because you love all things Full Moon or you won't. Personally, I loved this and own it but bad is bad.
