3.0 out of 5 stars Just what you'd expect June 22, 2000
Format:VHS Tape
Decampitated! is just what you'd expect from a movie of this title. It's packed with cheesy gore, token nudeness and all-out camp. If you're a fan of the Toxic Avenger, Blood Hook, Class of Nuke 'Em High and the like, you won't be disappointed. If you're not a fan of the previously mentioned, however, might want to skip on toward Remains of the Day.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of Troma's best! March 2, 2004

I first saw the trailer for this movie when I bought Cannibal the Musical. That was about 3 years ago and I've wanted to see it since then. I just watched this movie and I have to say it was grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat! If you are a fan of Troma then this movie is for you. It has your usual dark morbid sence of humor. Beating people with severed arms and using a guys head as a dummy. I highly recommend giving this movie a watch.

Worth the price of purchase for the first 10 minutes of the film alone. Ridiculous, funny and absurd, it is a laugh out loud series of unfortunate events for a girl running through the woods from a skipping (yes, he really skips) clumsy, killer wearing a bee handler veil and hat. From there, the movies plays out trying to be part horror, part comedy, part slapstick, and well, some scenes have to be seen to be believed. One the best scenes in the movie was when one of the characters gets his throat slit, and his friends use duct tape to hold his head to his neck, and for the remainder of the film has to keep his hand over the duct tape to keep it in place. And in another scene, the bee handler draped killer, having had his hand cut off, staples his hand to his wrist, then for some inexplicable reason uses a meat cleaver to chop off his arm, then uses duct tape to reattach it. Huh? WTF? Not to give anything away, but the final 5 minutes is so absurd, so silly, so over the top that it really is a laugh to watch.

Sure, the acting leaves a lot to be desired, (ok A LOT to be desired) and the one liner jokes come fast and furious. For example, one camper in a tent, lying close to another, says "get your butt out of my face," to which another camper says, "yeah, crack kills." And in another, a girl close to death, in the arms of her friend says "I see a bright light." Friend says "is it heaven, Paige?" "No," replies Paige, "it's the sun. It's shinning right into my eyes." In one of the final scenes, person runs into a tree, and of course, spits out a bucket of blood, looks to his friend and says "I can't move." Friend asks, "do you want an Aspirin?" Oh brother........

2.0 out of 5 stars Haha *yawn* June 4, 2006
Format:DVD
So it was funny, I guess. The point is that they're all stupid, and we get to kind of have fun letting them be stupid and run around the woods. I get it, I should say... fun! Yeah...

I don't know, I think a few things in this were pretty creative, mostly the different type of stuff the killer did and the whole side-story involving the transvestite. I also like the references to Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Deliverance (at this point, can you even have a killer woodsman story without said references?). Also, the whole duct tape thing was a great motif.

I actually think the funniest and most interesting part of the movie was the credits, though. Wardrobe provided by Wal-Mart. Yeah, good stuff.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE IT! July 7, 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Just ordered it on DVD and I also ordered the soundtrack. and cannot wait for it to arrive. Great film, very funny and I love it one of my all time fav. films. if you like bride of chucky or scream, watch this movie because it spoofs slasher films but at the same time it is a slasher film, and a good one at that.
