This review is from: Decanates and Dwads (Paperback)
I ordered this book with a lot of expectations, which were not fulfilled. The author presents three systems of decanates in the first chapter - oriental, manilius and chaldean systems - with only decanate keywords presented in the tables. An example for a decanate of a sign: Oriental system - aries, planetary ruler = mars, first decanate = mars, constellation = triangulum, keyword = pioneer spirit or activity. Manilius system - aries, sign ruler = Mars, sign keyword = action, first decanate = aries, decanate ruler = mars, decanate keyword = energy. Chaldean system : aries, sign ruler = mars, sign keyword = actions, decanate = first, decanate ruler = mars, keyword = action and energy. There aren't detailed descriptions of each decanate or dwad, but only examples in a few delineations and having to understand from them. After purchasing this book, I had to buy another book - a very good tool for studying each sign in detail - " The Zodiac Within Each Sign - Interpreting the Horoscope with Decanates and Duads" by Frances Sakoian&Louis Acker. |
