This review is from: Decathlon RTF RC Plane w/ 2.4Ghz Radio & Rx, Brand New!! (Toy)
I think the Decathlon is an excellent choice, theres nothing wrong with it as a good plane for ya to get into ailerons and more maneuvers.
The full scale counterpart is and has been a very successful aerobatic trainer since it's beginnings when it was the "Champion Citabria". Which if you dont know this Citabria spelled backwards is "Airbatic". I have this plane, and since have upgraded it's power pkg to a brushless setup. E-flight Park400 and eflight 20a ESC, and running on a 3cell 1250mah Lipo. Prop is an APC 9x6 SF, started with the 9x4.7 but later went to the 9x6 for a bit more airspeed, better take off and climbout performance. I bought one of the first one's off the line and it's power pkg was a bit weak. Now as I understand they have changed the battery supplied to a 9.6v Nimh instead of the 2cell Lipo in the first ones. This higher voltage gives it a bit more power than the first run of them, by about 20%. Which should be adequete, and in scale. But, mine with it's much more powerful powerplant is a very capable aerobatic performer now and is my second favorite of my fleet.
