NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY IT'S COVER!!!,
This review is from: Deceitful Passions (Paperback)
I JUST READ IT, THIS YEAR (2010). I KEPT SEEING IT WHEN I WOULD GO ON A FEW WEBSITES LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO READ. I NEVER TRIED IT BECAUSE THE COVER WASN'T THAT APPEALING TO ME BUT I FINALLY DECIDED TO ORDER IT AND IT WAS GOOD. I LOOKED FOR OTHER BOOKS BY THE AUTHOR BUT THERE WAS NONE...HOPEFULLY SHE DOES SOMETHING SOON...I WOULDN'T MIND FOLLOWING HER WRITINGS...GIVE IT A TRY!!!!

Practicing to Deceive,
By The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers (RAWSISTAZ.com and BlackBookReviews.net) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Deceitful Passions (Paperback)
Vito's extra-marital affair seems all the more ridiculous, given the fact that his latest side dish is also eating off of his best friend's plate. He thinks he's a player, but he is really the one being played, as his woman on the side proceeds to take him to the school of hard-knocks. The situation quickly spirals out of control and everyone involved find themselves tangled in the web Vito weaved while he was practicing to deceive. Can Vito walk away from this affair unscathed?
Renika McQueen-Echols' DECEITFUL PASSIONS is a slight twist on the sadly commonplace love triangle, in which one of the participants almost learns his lesson too late and one that doesn't stay secret for long. For me, there were some editing and character development issues, but fans of urban fiction will likely enjoy this book's urban flavor. Reviewed by T. Shelly B. of The RAWSISTAZ(tm) Reviewers

I started reading this book on a plane ride to the ATL and trust me I couldn't wait until I was stationary to finish it. Of course I had to find another book to read on the ride home, since needless to say this one was finished within five hours. The characters were so real life and throughout the read I was trying to figure out which one was one of my family or friends. This was a job well done so I know the sequel must be coming out soon. Please don't make me wait. (smile)

Renika McQueen-Echols is debuting in the literary industry with her page turner novel "Deceitful Passions". I had the opportunity to meet the phenomenal author at her book release party, which was a blast. Deceitful Passions is a fast pace novel, with compelling characters, interesting & believable plots and subplots. Overall the novel was intriguing and will not leave you disappointed.
Job Well Done!

Great Book,
This review is from: Deceitful Passions (Paperback)
I bought this book last year and was trying to find time to read it but with school, work and family it just didn't come around. Finally one Sunday afternoon I decided to make time. I started the book at 5 pm and finished around 11 pm that same day! I could not put it down. The characters are so well developed, I thought they were almost people I could know. The plot thickens and twists so much that you just keep wanting to read to find out what is happening next. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of this book and would recommend it to readers who like to read contemporary urban dramas.
