Deceive Her With Desire is the second book in the Dangerous Affairs romantic suspense series. Set in Maine, I've drawn from my own experiences of small town living on the coast. The middle child of five, I also enjoyed including the family dynamics of sibling rivalry and love in these sisters' stories.

Love's Bounty by Nina Pierce is about Deirdre who went to a party looking to let go and find a willing partner for the night. Just a one night stand nothing else. Ayden was under cover at the party and was determined to put the case he was on to rest, he knew it was close. When Deirdre finds herself in an unusual situation, she had to decide what to do. This book had me literally on the edge of my seat. It was a hot romance filled with suspense. I will be looking for more books by Nina Pierce, she is an incredible author!

Deirdre Tilling has had her heartbroken. Two months ago, her girlfriend says she's found someone else and moves out, leaving Deirdre devastated. To help take her mind off things, her friend suggest she come with them to a house party. She agrees, dressing ultra sexy and hoping to catch the attention of someone that night. But the night doesn't go as she plans. She's rejected by a woman she thought was into her and then she's offered a job landscaping the grounds where the party is being held. Running off to have a moment to herself, she meets the man who will change her life.

Ayden Scott is trying to put the past behind him and prove that he's a good DEA agent. He's big chance is getting invited to a party at the house of the man who is running the drug cartel in the area. He's willing to use anyone and anything to crack this case and prove that he's a good undercover agent. Posing as Austin Schaeffer the drug dealer, Ayden mingles with the guest and then takes his leave to check the grounds. What he finds changes his life.

Deirdre and Ayden have a night of incredible passion that neither of them expected. Deirdre runs, afraid of what it all means. But when heroine is find in her truck and she's arrested, she runs to the one person she shouldn't...Ayden. And while he watched her tearful interrogation, he knows in his gut that she's being used as a pawn in a much larger scheme. Can Deirdre put her past hurts behind her and move forward with Ayden? Can Ayden unburden himself of his guilt and put his happiness first?

I enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and kept your interest in between the hot sex Deirdre and Ayden were having! (LOL!) They both were a bit broken at the beginning of this story and seemed to find their missing piece in each other.... Despite what happened in their pasts, they were able to heal what was broken and find the happiness with each other they both craved. Read more ›

Poor Deidre Tilling is cradling and nurturing her broken heart after her girlfriend, Bri, left a couple of months earlier. When I first started reading this erotic romance short, I thought Deidre was going add a new girlfriend. That is until DEA Agent Ayden Scott entered the quaint Maine town where Deidre was living. Ayden is sent to the town to investigate a possible drug ring and Deidre is hanging out with the prime suspect. The tale that Pierce weaves is presumptuous and well written. The dialogue is convincing and lets the reader like both hero and heroine.

While this is mainly a romance novel, Pierce adds just enough suspense in the plot to keep it interesting. The novel was fast-paced, it held my interest and Pierce's writing style is incredible. Pierce kept the story line of drug dealing and importing believable yet it didn't smother the romance between the hero and heroine. The romance and relationship between Ayden and Deidre is right on the mark to make the plot credible and I highly recommend Love's Bounty to all romance readers.

This is my very first Nina Pierce read and I enjoyed it. The story was quick & fast paced with tons of suspense that kept you turning the page. Deirdre (Dee) was such a fun character to read. She's had trouble in the past but she has clawed her way back and is all the stronger for it. She is not perfect but she knows what she wants out of life and has a plan to get her there. She just never expects it to include a man, especially after her history. Ayden is haunted by his past and feels responsible for everything that has happened (you'll have to read to find out what it is ; . The struggle that he goes through to forgive himself and to gain respect back was very believable and well-written.

This is book #2 in the series and while it can be read as a stand-alone, I would recommend reading book 1, Blind Her With Bliss. I have OCD (Obsessive Chronological Disorder) so I struggled with starting at 2, and while I wasn't lost, I just wish that during certain scenes, that I was familiar with some of the back-story. All in all it was a good solid book, however, it was pretty fast paced and I would have liked to get a little more character development, simply because they were so likable. I'll definitely go back and read the remaining books and hopefully that will give me what I'm looking for.

LOVE'S BOUNTY is the second story in Ms. Pierce's TILLING PASSIONS series, but it can be read as a standalone. I haven't read the other TILLING PASSIONS books, but I enjoyed LOVE'S BOUNTY so much that I've already bought the first book in the series, BLIND LOVE. All in all, I enjoyed LOVE'S BOUNTY, and I'm looking forward to reading more about the endearing Tilling family.
