The Deceiving of the Black Race,
By
This review is from: The Deceiving of the Black Race: Greatest Story 'Never' Told (Paperback)
I have now read this book at least six times and am now convinced that Moses Farrar has uncovered the truth about the deception fostered by Christianity. Farrar writes in a concise and easily understood manner and points out that scores of the nations mentioned in the Old Testament were of the Black race (Egyptians, Ethiopians, Babylonians, Israelites and others).Read this book and learn how Christians have been greatly deceived for centuries by Christianity -- the religion forced upon Blacks in slavery by the abominable slave master. This is a MUST READ for all people of African ancestry.

I have stumbled through 60 years of confusion and questions. As an African-American it has been disheartening to live in a world where you simply exist. No knowledge of history or ancestory beyond slavery, stripped of eveything that is the basis and core of who you are. Buying and reading this book was the best thing I ever did....it has awakened me from a deep sleep. I intend to re-read this book and others like it in my quest for the truth.

I really enjoyed the book. Farrar's book explained and outlined each topic in concise details. I just wished that more Black Americans really knew the truth about the false god they've been worshiping for centuries. The Roman Empire and the Roman Church "invented" a god, and thousands of years later, Americans and other people around the world still worship him, particularly Black people. I converted over to Judaism several years ago, and I am sometimes teased by some of my Black friends. But that's ok, at least the God that I worship is alive!! :-)

Dubious scholarship for a great cause.,

While have serious doubts about the accuracy of the assertions presented in the book, I think it's aim was excellent. Modern blacks, all of mankind in fact, have been robbed of their collective past, and this book, despite it's very dubious claims, attempts to redress the issue. The 'theft' of sub-Saharan African history, I believe, was no intentional undertaking by whomever one wishes to blame. Rather, the relative lack of scholarly history comes, it seems to me, from several 'neutral' sources. The first is a lack of interest in the subject by historians. The second, the lack of written primary sources and even physical artifacts. The history of Black Africa (primarily subsaharan africa) needs mch greate attention from serious hisorians. There are sources out there, however few, and the effort clearly needs to be made. This area, presumably, has had the longest history of humanity but the vast majority of books n the subject are either terribly ill-informed, driven by agendas or simply wishful thinking leading to gross misinterpretation of history. I was disappointed by this book, as I have been by the other two I've read on the subject, but will continue looking. Why this aea of historiography has been so ignored I've already mentioned, but redressing it, well and accurately, will help redress a vast gap in human knowledge that at present is inhabited far too much by those whose aims are not neccesarily historical reality. I'd like to find a book that presents the history and lacks bias, 'god intentions' that lead to poor scholarship and some need to 'dress up' Black African history at the expense of the truth.
