I really enjoyed December Moon. If you've read the first book you will love the twists and turns revealed in this installment of the raven series. December is different, in a really great way. We could all use a best friend like her. It's with a huge smile that I read of love coming back into a number of relationships, and I found the bad guy Duran quite intriguing. I almost hoped Tabitha would make a move on him.

This is a dramatic read with a lot of action and a strong sense of place. It's a hard review to write because so much happens, and if I told you any of it I'd be giving you spoilers. All I can say is I had a lousy day, it was cold, I have a cold, so I wrapped up in front of the heater with a box of tissues and my cats, and I devoured December Moon all day long. And now that I've read the end I have to applaud Suzy Turner for making me need to start the next book NOW.

Definitely five out of five stars from me

Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down. In "December Moon", the second book in the Raven Saga, Suzy Turner once again transports the reader into the exciting world of the supernatural. The latest installment in this series, takes the reader on an adventure in which December learns how to use her talent in order to protect her friend; and interesting new characters - both good and bad - are introduced. If you've read "Raven", the first book in this series, you will feel as though you are rejoining old and well loved friends in this second book.

Although there's lots of action and adventure in the story, the pace is comfortable enough so as to give the reader ample time to savor every moment. I also thought the characters to be very realistic and well defined. Moments of suspense and intensity are expertly balanced by easy-going scenes and enough humor to relax the tension.

As in "Raven", I was again touched by the warmth and love with which Lily's family and friends accepted December and her family into their midst. Nothing however is always just perfect blue skies, so there are also some truly sad moments, which will bring tears to your eyes. I found myself completely absorbed in the story, experiencing joy, fear and sadness along with the characters. If you enjoyed reading "Raven", you will absolutely love "December Moon". It is more than a worthwhile read!

The 2nd book in the "Raven" series.
In this book you learn more about December Moon the best friend of Lily. December turns 15 and learns the reasons behind her mother abandoning her and why she needed to live with her money hungry Aunt. December finds that she is a very powerful witch from a long line of witches. December also learns that the evil vampire that is terrorizing her friend Lily's family is the same one that once terrorized her own. Soon the two friends are reunited to defend their families against him.
I can't wait for the 3rd in the series.

I liked this 2nd book even better than the 1st.

This is the 2nd book in the "Raven" series. In it you learn more about December Moon the best friend and only friend of Lily. Ever since December's father has passed and her mother left, she has lived with her money hungry Aunt. December knows that she is only with her Aunt so that her Aunt has access to her money. December has been taught to stay out of her Aunts sight. December soon meets Lily at school. They immediately become friends drawn to each others pain. When Lily leaves she is once again alone. On her 15th birthday she realizes that she is different. When she is reunited with her mother she soon realizes that she is a witch. Very soon she is reunited with Lily and her family to battle against a evil vampire trying to destroy both of their families. I loved this book and am looking forward to a 3rd novel because there has to be a 3rd.

This story was captivating. Even though it is "fantasy", it made me wonder if there really are those among us who are more connected to mother nature than the masses. Enjoyed the closeness of the families depicted in the story, and the banding together against a common enemy. A great read!

It kept my attention throughout. So many books have the theme of the 'outsider' maybe bullied, who comes good, and this is one of them. They are popular because most of us feel like outsiders at times. Well written and entertaining.

The second book of the Raven Saga, December Moon by Suzy Turner is further proof of this author's talents.
In the first book, we are introduced to Lilly and December, how they met, their friendship, and their eventual separation. December Moon explores all the emotions a teenage girl experiences after being separated from her one and only best friend, and how she must cope with all of life's surprises on her own.
True to the fantasy genre, there are plenty of supernatural beings, magic, and adventure. All of these woven into a very entertaining and well written story. I would recommend this book to young and old alike.

Love love loved it! December Moon is book 2 in the Raven Saga and it exceeded all my expectations. Suzy Turner is a fantastic YA author who can tell a wonderful story. I loved the alternating chapters for Lilly and December and was absorbed in both their lives. The author weaves multiple plot lines with ease and keeps the tension up throughout. Bravo, Suzy Turner. I can't WAIT for book 3. There is a book 3 isn't there?!!!!
