I had never heard of Tim Janis, nor his music until I walked past a booth of musicians at the Gloucester Waterfront festival a few weeks ago..two members of his staff were playing his composition "High Sierra" which captivated me immediately, I stopped and bought the CD from the nice young man selling them..who turned out to be Tim himself..chatted a few minutes and realized he was a very special person who had a great gift to give to the world in his music. The two musicians played another number from Acadia, I promptly bought this also, thinking Tim from Newfoundland..but no, from the beautiful seacoast village of Kennebunk Maine. On logging in to the internet at home I looked at his website and read the many amazing things he has done with his music in helping people with cancer and AIDS. I am sending two of his discs to a friend in England who is suffering from cancer hoping they will ease her days a bit. This beautiful music has the ability to lift ones heart and ease physical and emotional pain. I found myself so touched by it Im sure anyone who hears it will agree.

I first listened to this album because a friend could not stop talking about Tim Janis. Although I usually listen to pop, rock and jazz music, I gave it a listen. I was immediately drawn in. Wow. These arrangements are far more mature, more refined, and more powerful than one would ever expect from such a young composer. The harmonic weaving of orchestral textures rolls over you like ocean waves, picking you up and transporting you to a wonderful place. And the flute is literally some of the best I have heard. Over the last few weeks, it has become my favorite new album, and I expect Mr. Janis will not be one of the best kept secrets for very long.

I recently purchased both Water's Edge and December Morning and I love it! I travel a great deal on the road, so the soft and gentle sound that Tim Janis is able to capture through his music is so relaxing. I stay stressed out most of the time when on the road, but just listening to his music, I'm able to relax and enjoy the ride. I'd advise anyone who stays stressed out like me to purchase his CD's. They will really make a difference. Thank you Tim for your wonderful talent!

I purchased this cd along with another of Tim's, Water's Edge. I absolutely love them both! I work in a stressful environment, a very large office that at times sounds like a zoo during a full moon. When it gets to the point where I don't think I can stand the noise level another second, I put this cd on and listen with headphones and just kind of zone out. I can honestly say that my stress level decreases every time I listen to it. The music is beautiful and very gentle. I no longer get tension headaches at work, my productivity and attitude have both improved immensely, and I honestly believe that Tim's music has been my salvation. The music just kind of glides and soars along and takes you with it. I can literally feel myself relaxing and "letting go" while listening to it. I would highly recommend this cd to anyone who likes to unwind to peaceful, gentle music.

I was fortunate to see Tim Janis perform live in Seattle last Spring while on a trip and immediately fell in love with his music. The music is soothing and yet gives energy with the intensity of the various instruments used. It's very pleasing to hear.

I was just FINALLY able to get this CD after finding it was out there right around Christmas in my local shops anyway. From the moment the music started playing, I was lost...to the passion, the joy...the overwhelming beauty that touches too deeply for words and too deeply for conscious understanding....and this is WITHOUT meditating to it YET ! When I am able to do a full meditation, I have no doubt that it will be even more consuming and full-filling ! Can't wait to add Etain and Flowers in October to the collection ! THANKS Tim for your mastery in touching the soul and spirit!

I first heard of Tim and his music when I saw his ensemble perform in a local mall. And then I saw them perform in another mall, and another! What a great way to gain exposure. I bought this CD after seeing them a second time. I am looking forward to the new CD due in July.

This was my first CD By Tim Janis I came across this by chance it had been playing threw out the mall I was at and it was so beautiful that I had to find out who played this wonderful music I was hearing I had never heared anything like it I was truely hooked this CD is never to far from my player!

I first saw Tim Janis performing at an annual festival where I live. I was so taken by the beauty of the music so I purchased 2 cd's, including this one. I was amazed, to say the least. The music is so uplifting. Every time I listen to the songs, it's like I am hearing them for the first time again. I listen to this cd at night before bed, it's so relaxing. I highly recommend this, you won't be disappointed.

I was wandering in a small CD shop and was drawn to the music sampler. I hit the button with the Ansel Adams picture on it- (he is one of my favorite photographers)and suddenly I was floating in the picture! The music is soothing and comforting and I highly recommend one of my NEW FAVORITE artists...Tim Janis
