"Deception" is one of the best books I have ever read. I enjoyed reading a clean book, and it kept me guessing until the end. I suggest you buy this and start reading it if you want to read a suspenseful, page-turning book. But I must warn you, you will find yourself reading this instead of doing anything else. Like the others, I can't wait for her next book!

Barbara Warren's Deception is a great read. She kept the suspense hanging throughout the book. I loved her writing and her characters. My only concern with this book is that the ending left me wanting to know more about the new relationship of the twins after they found each other. But,this still was an interesting story. I purchased this book for my Kindle Paperwhite. Deception: Missing, Presumed Dead (Christian Fiction › Suspense)

This book gets your heart racing from the first pages. It makes for a definite page turner, keeping you from sleeping! If you read a lot of suspense, some plot points might be obvious, but Ms. Warren did a good job with twists and turns. My only problem with this book is how quickly everything was wrapped up. After such attention to detail in the rest of the story, the end flew by with things tied up a little too neatly for me. But, I will definitely be checking out more from this author!

Two little girls were kidnapped, the ransom was paid but only one was returned. Tess had twenty four years of wondering and grieving for her sister Rhona, that the kidnappers kept. Her parents had spent their whole lives looking for their lost child and their family had been broken and sad.Tess's parents are gone but have left all their wealth to both sisters in case Rhona is found. Then people are trying to kill Tess and a woman shows up saying she is her long lost sister. The twists and turns and the level of deception keeps you intrigued and surprised by the people involved and their motives.Good read and a great story that ends well but abruptly as if the author ran out of space. Why take the time to write such an interesting book and just end it so abruptly. Is there a sequel?

Deception is one of those books that you just can't put down. You get a clear picture of each character and some of them just give you a "feeling"- you may not know exactly why you don't trust a particular character, but just just "know". Don't start this book just before bed unless you plan on staying up all night. Those "feelings" will keep you reading to see if you are right, and not all of your feelings are going to be spot on. Two girls are kidnapped and only one is returned, and the one that was returned is being stalked and targeted for murder. But the new PI in town that is trying to help her out is also being targeted- what is their issue with him? You'll have to read the book to find out why. Wonderfully put together, this book was thoroughly enjoyable, and a good, clean read. Just don't expect to get anything else done- or sleep- until you have finished the book. I was given a copy of this book for my honest review.
