First off, I have never had any interest in being any sort of supernatural being but if I could have been Vic in this book I may have changed my mind. ;) Did not put this one down the whole way through. I started it right after I finished Origins and read it until it was finished. Amazing! This is the sort of book that I will read over and over again just because I can. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone! Even if you think you don't like vampires and other such beings, give it a try! You won't regret it!

At last some time for reading! Loved it. Sean's second helping of underworld goings on is even more engaging than the first. It takes an imagination to make a story come alive and Sean twinkles vividly! If I am not drawn in with the first chapter the rest of the book stands no chance. I was hooked, lined and sinkered.
A book you can't put down and find yourself wanting to 'get involved'

Second in the Demonkin series, I could not wait for Sean Hayden to finish this after reading Origins. It was well worth the wait.

Ash is a great lead character with a strong personality and attitude, well understandable considering her father is a demon and she inherited some of his 'traits'. She stands by her sense of right and wrong during the course of her job as Vampire Agent for the FBI, which can lead her into some troublesome scenarios.

Unlike some stories in this genre, Deceptions contains just the right mix of danger, demons and devious antics in it's characters. The story line is well thought out and sucks you in. The plot twists and turns keeping you guessing all the way through to the end.

If you like books that you can get lost in, that you MUST keep reading til you find out how it all turns out, then you have to read both Origins and Deceptions. I'm trying to be patient for the next book in the series!
